Ugandan Uber driver acquitted of rape charges in the USA, resumes work
A Ugandan Uber driver in the United States of America (USA) has been set free after alleged attempted rape charges.
After serving 5 years in State prison in Massachusetts, his case was overturned at Appeals Court due to errors the trial judge committed and after long time the Commonwealth could not try the case again and the charges were dismissed.
Mr. Dauda Mayanja, 42, who used to trade under Bamutaasa Herbal Joint Clinic Research Centre in Kampala is now a free man after court in Boston acquitted after the court dint clear and critical evidence as alleged.
He left Uganda for the US in 2017.
Mr. Mayanja was in 2019 arrested after a woman reported being sexually assaulted in Boston on her way to an area hospital for treatment.
Mayanja is now doing his job freely in Waltham in Boston Massachusetts.
As a result, Mayanja is set to launch Redemption Ministry International with the aim of helping those innocently accused individuals. It will soon be aired on YouTube.
