There’s no COVID-19 in Butaleja – interviewee on NBS TV

NBS Television has today gone all out for the ongoing NRM Primaries in their now-expected comprehensive coverage of political events, and controversial scenes are being served.
In one of their interviews with field reporters from different parts of the country, a male interviewee in Butalejja, at the end of his interview, told reporter Jordan Mubangizi, “eno teli kovidi,” translated as “there is no COVID-19 in this part of the country,” much to the cheer of onlookers.

Noticeably, the masked Mubangizi, had been surrounded by residents, with no sight of Government COVID-19 guidelines being implemented.
With Twitter awash with praise for the Political Command Center’s coverage of the ruling party’s primaries, we took an interest in how this has been consistently possible.

NBS TV has deployed close to 20 teams across the country to ensure their viewers have proper coverage of the primaries.

The buoyant Kigozi shared with us the list below of the areas in which the NBS TV team is deployed; Koboko, Bukomansimbi, Ntungamo, Butaleja, Sheema, Gulu, Jinja, Hoima, Mityana, Luweero, Tororo, Kamuli, Kalangala, Fort Portal, Mbale, Masaka, Rakai, and Mbarara.
The NRM primaries are for parliamentary candidates that will run on the party card in the 2021 General Election.
