    Nigerian’s Wurld Brings Life At The Jameson Hangout

    Over the weekend, the Jameson and Friends hangout returned to the Ndere Cultural Centre in Bukoto. The edition of the hangout was made more remarkable by the appearance of Nigerian superstar musician Wurld.

    Wurld’s performance was nothing short of phenomenal, captivating the audience with his hit songs such as Mad, Show You Off, and Let You Down. This marked his inaugural visit to Uganda, leaving a lasting impression on both his fans and newfound admirers.

    The event also showcased a diverse range of Ugandan talent, with performances from Rick Man, XFM’s Likkle Bangi, and impressive mixes by Deejay Kas Baby, Vanns, and Alza. Their exceptional mixes entertained the massive crowds that had gathered, creating an electric atmosphere.

    The event provided much more than just music. Attendees were treated to a variety of board games, pool tables, and PlayStation consoles, all complemented by delicious cocktails. This fusion of entertainment options ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy.

    The primary objective of the event, which takes place monthly, is to bring friends together, fostering new connections, and creating an atmosphere of celebration. Attendees were able to revel in the joy of music, indulge in mouth-watering BBQ, and savour the smooth taste of Jameson whiskey.

    Talent Africa, the organisers, successfully drew a large and diverse crowd to the event. It attracted a wide range of attendees, including top celebrities, socialites, slay queens and kings, as well as influencers, further adding to the vibrant ambiance of the occasion.

    WurlD has released two new singles: “Wayo” and “Ghost Town” via Platoon. Listen to the new singles HERE.These releases follow his COLORS session performance where “Ghost Town” debuted, soon after the release of hit single “Love Nobody” .

    Building on that momentum, the acclaimed singer-songwriter has announced that his forthcoming EP titled ‘Afrosoul’ will be released 15 May 2020 on all platforms. The EP will feature singles the latest singles, in addition to unreleased tracks, including “National Anthem (Growing Wings)”, “Story” and “Can’t Come Outside”.     WulrD– the multi-talented Nigerian-American singer-songwriter and record producer teamed up with Sarz, one of the baddest producers in Nigeria, to produce the 8-track EP: I LOVE GIRLS WITH TROBUL (ILGWT), released November of 2019.

    Sitting on the success of ILGWT and co-writing one of the biggest tracks of 2019, “Blow My Mind” by Davido and Chris Brown, WurlD is set to release yet a new body of work in 2020.     “MAD” is the lead single of ILGWT project. It’s a mid-tempo Afrobeat and Pop record about an emotionally distressed lover. Although still in love, he complains about a toxic relationship. The music video shot in Lagos Nigeria and directed by Chukwuka Nwobi, Baba Agba, Muktar and Wurld, depicts the all too familiar narrative of a couple that are bad together, yet mad without each other. Following the sour end of events in the film for “Ego Nobody Wins”; “MAD” music video gives the inside scoop of this troubled relationship, posing a burning question to the fans: should WurlD and Sade get back together?
