    Photos: Smirnoff Aeon experience rocks The Square

    On Friday night, Kampala night life was redefined as Smirnoff Vodka sponsored Aeon party fired up revellers at The Square, Industrial Area. The party which kicked off from 9pm went on till the wee hours of Saturday morning as partiers enjoyed great mix by In House DJs, exotic cocktails courtesy of Smirnoff.

    It is becoming clear that house and electronic music is becoming a big thing in Uganda as evident at the above event (The Smirnoff Aeon Party)  which brought house and electronic music lovers from around Kampala to the dance floor.

    The partiers most especially electronic music lovers from around Kampala flocked the new venue located in Industrial are for a powerful dose of their favorite jams as mixed by Uganda’s biggest Electronic and House music DJs like AO Walker, Aleczandah, Hola Jefe, Cheek-O Dread, RPM x BK, Darkmeme x Ejuku, The Sound Engine, Slikback among others.

    Hundreds of people turned up in big numbers and had great time.

    “We warned you about not attempting to miss this Smirnoff Aeon experience. This is the part of your life we didn’t want you to skip,” a fan said referring to those who didn’t attend.

    Smirnoff Aeon is not an everyday experience, if you didn’t attend then you missed a perfect night you deserved.

    Partiers had great time and kept yearning for more even the event was already done. Check out the photos at the event.

    Revelers were treated to signature Smirnoff cocktails and the party went on till 6am.

    How it went down at the Arab Money Fab Party

    The Arab Money Fab Parties celebrated their sixth year last Friday at a glamorous event held at The Square on Third Street Industrial area.

    Arab Money 6 was an all gold everything event attended by top celebrities in town. “We were born with Glitter in our veins, Fab Clan,” Sue O’chola said.

    Rapper Navio did not disappoint as he performed at the event with Silver Back and DJ Global behind decks. International Belly dancer Tina Kapp was also in the house.

    The brain behind the party Sue O’chola and Judith Heard were quick to praise Kampala party lovers for the support.

    Prince Wassajja, Jose Chameleone, SK Mbuga, Ivan Semwanga, Charlie Lubega, Radio and Weasel to mention but a few were some of the celebrities in attendance. Here is what you missed at the party in pictures. Enjoy!!!

    Uganda Waragi Powers King of the Turntables

    Saturday night went down as one of the most exciting nights in the deejay and music world in Kampala. The classic music showcase dubbed ‘King of the Turntables’ was held at The Square in Industrial Area, a venue that has become popular for hosting star events.

    Fans anticipated killer performances from DJ Konk Mukiga, DJ Crisio, who is one of Kenya’s top deejays, DJ Hypnotiq and DJ Alludah. True to their promise, they delivered a fantastic night.

    The event, which was organised by Talent Africa and sponsored by Uganda Waragi, saw hundreds of music fans turn up to party and support their favourite spin masters.

    The host, DJ Alludah is a renowned turntable king in Kampala and is an award winning spin master who has earned his title as one of Uganda’s most respected with a career spanning a couple of years.

    Some of his most notable career accolades include working for Channel O as a VJ and performing for top musicians including Busy Signal, Konshens and Chameleone.

    During the deejay show popularly known as King of the Turntables, DJ Aludah brought the entire crowd onto their feet when he powered through an energetic performance. The crowd displayed some mind-boggling dance moves and sang along to the music word by word while enjoying the mixes from the popular deejays.

    Speaking of the event, Edgar Birungi, UBL’s Marketing Manager – Spirits said, “For over 50 years, our consumers have enjoyed Uganda Waragi, which is the Spirit of Uganda.     Ali Alibhai, the proprietor of Talent Africa on organising the event had this to say, “It is exciting for us to have organised this second edition of King of the Turntables. We are delighted at how it has turned out because bringing people together to celebrate life is what we are all about.” Alibhai added that Talent Africa was looking forward to organising bigger and better editions of the musical showcase in future.
