After swearing in to represent the people of Rujumbura Constituency in the 12th Parliament, Hon. Jim Muhwezi has set his goals for the next five years. He said his victory belongs to the people of Rujumbura Constituency. He said his primary goal is to increase Household wealth in the Constituency and also lobby for more government opportunities for his people like employment and Vocational training school to skill the youth on employment creation.

“This victory belongs to the people of Rujumbura Constituency. Our primary goal this term is to increase household wealth, accelerate the completion of gov’t programs, actively lobby for more employment opportunities, formalize SMEs, and develop highly skilled vocational training,” Hon. Jim Muhwezi Katugugu said.
Rujumbura Constituency in Rukungiri District MP elect, Hon. Jim Muhwezi Katugugu was today sworn to serve Rujumbura for the next five years. After the swearing in ceremony, his wife Mrs Susan Kabonero Muhwezi sent special thanks to the people of Rujumbura and appreciated them for trusting Hon. Jim Muhwezi to serve them again for the next years.

The Uganda Flowers Exporters Association held a consultative meeting with Dr. Barirega Akankwasah the Executive Director of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), led by Mrs. Susan K. Muhwezi, Senior Presidential Advisor in the Export Led Growth Strategy Unit (ELGSU).
The discussions focused on: Streamlining regulatory and permitting processes to support timely development and operation of export infrastructure.
Enhancing environmental compliance requirements with better coordination and predictability to minimize operational delays.
Improving efficiency in the processing and approval of certificates.
This engagement underscores the shared commitment to balance environmental protection with Uganda’s urgent national objective of boosting export competitiveness and driving private sector growth.
The Minister of Security who also doubles as the Member of Parliament elect for Rujumbura Constituency, Hon. Jim Muhwezi has sent a special Easter message to Ugandans.
Sharing on his social media platforms, Hon. Jim said, ” For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the son he loves, in him we have redemption, forgiveness of sins. May the miracle of Easter bring you peace and joy,” Hon. Jim Muhwezi.
The minister has also given an assurance of enough security throughout the Easter festivities.
Ms Susan Kabonero Muhwezi has been appointed the Board Member of Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) representing Tourism and Hospitality sector.
The appointment which takes immediate effect was Goldy welcomed by Ms Susan Kabonero Muhwezi herself expressing joy over it on her social media platforms. She promised to serve with humility and passion during her term of office.
“Glory to God for this appointment as Board Member PSFU representing Tourism and Hospitality. Will serve with humility and passion for our Sector, PSFU,” Ms Susan Kabonero Muhwezi shared on her X after the appointment.
She brings in the vast experience she has in the tourism and hospitality sector having served in it for more than a decade.
Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is Uganda’s apex body for the private sector. It is made up of over 300 business associations, corporate bodies and the major public sector agencies that support private sector growth.
Since its founding in 1995, PSFU has served as a focal point for private sector advocacy as well as capacity building and continues to sustain a positive policy dialogue with Government on behalf of the private sector. PSFU aims to strengthen Private Sector capacity for effective policy advocacy and market competitiveness nationally, regionally and internationally. Regionally, PSFU is the national focal point for the East African Business Council (EABC) and the COMESA Business Council (CBC).
Rujumbura Constituency in Rukungiri District people have overwhelmingly voted for Hon. Jim Muhwezi as their Member of Parliament (MP) in the 12th Parliament. They want to see continued development in the Constituency.

Standing as the NRM party flag bearer, Jim Muhwezi will now represent Rujumbura Constituency once again and this time in the 12th Parliament.
During his campaign, he wowed the people and promised continued development and effective representation that is service delivery oriented.
He also pledged to continue lobbying for more support from the government which will push the Constituency further in terms of development.
Ms Susan Kabonero Muhwezi is a Ugandan female entrepreneur, Rotarian, an Apple of God’s eye, a mother, wife, A Lay Canon whose hobbies are reading, travelling, Fellowship and people. Shea serves as the chairperson of Uganda Hotel Owners Association and served as vice chairperson Board of Directors for Uganda Tourism Board for 6 years until 2023.

She is also presidential advisor to the president of Uganda on matters related to the African Growth and Opportunity (AGOA).
In 2019 she was elected as the chairperson Uganda Hotel Owners Association, a position she still holds to date. She is an advisor to the Ugandan government on matters related to the African Growth and Opportunity aiming to enhance Ugandan’s trade relations and opportunities.
Kabonero Muhwezi holds a Bachelor of Education in English Language and Literature and also has a Masters Degree in Organizational leadership from UCC Mukono. she is married to Security Minister and Rujumbura Constituency MP Hon. Jim Muhwezi, a former bush war hero.
She was the Chairperson Women’s League NRM Western Region for 3 terms and decided on her own not to stand again when called upon.
Ms Susan served as the Chairperson UWESO – Rukungiri District and she is passionate about the plight of Orphans and Widows.
She is extremely passionate about Tourism and Hospitality promoting Destination Uganda , Skilling many young people and she has done that as UHOA through the Apprenticeship program supported by Enabel & ILO.
During her blistering career, Susan has inspired and still inspires many young ladies into building bright careers. Her daughter Sandra Muhwezi who this year got married described her mother as a mirror and one of one. The moment you sit with Susan on a table, you can never fail to learn a thing or two from her.
When it comes to hustling, Susan is a queen and a half with her all her mind business oriented. Ms Susan Kabonero is a sister to City business mogul Bob Kabonero and Ambassador Kabonero all who are successful businessmen in the country.
