    2026 Updates: Sheema North voters want Naome Kibaaju to continue serving them

    The people of Sheema North constituency in Sheema district have expressed happiness over their Member of Parliament Hon. Naome Kibaaju’s helping hand and want her to continue beyond 2025.

    In the latest photos, the MP was seen busy launching different developmental projects in the constituency among which is clean and safe water, donation of scholastic materials for pupils as the new academic year kicks off as well as construction projects in the county.

    Hon. Naome Kibaaju told this website that she is ready to continue working for her people beyond 2025. She is seeking for another term in the forthcoming general elections due next year.

    2026 Updates: Naome Kibaaju leads Sheema North opinion polls

    Sheema North in Sheema District MP Hon. Naome Kibaaju is still strong ahead of 2026 Genera elections according to the opinion polls.

    The polls show that she is headed for a third term as the area Member of Parliament.

    The opinion has put her at 65% against 35% of her closest rival Mr. Guma Nuwagaba.

    Hon. Kibaaju has been instrumental in the consistency ever since she took over from Hon. Elioda Tumwesigye when he opted to go to the Municipality.

    She has seen improvement in service delivery especially in sectors of health, education, agriculture and transport.

    Sheema MPs 2021-2026 Forum inaugurated

    Members of Parliament (MPs) from Sheema District have inaugurated Sheema MPs 2021-2026 Forum to foster development in the district.

    The Forum inaugurated yesterday in Kampala.

    Members include Hon. Naome Kibaaju for Sheema North, Hon. Prof. Elijah Mushemeza for
    Sheema South, Hon. Rosemary Nyakikongoro Woman MP Sheema District and Kateshumbwa Dicksons for Sheema Municipality.

    The new MPs elect resolved to work together for the unity and development of Sheema District.

    They also want to restore unity and promote development in the young district.

    Sheema North constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Hon Naome Kibaaju has today delivered UGX 20m to the Sheema District COVID-19 Taskforce.

    After handing over the UGX 20m, the MP went on to donate 12 tonnes of posho to be distributed to those in dare need of food in Sheema North constituency.

    Hon Kibaaju has been hailed for her excellent work to the people of Sheema.

    She is always available when needed for any activity that’s needs support in the district.

    Naome Kibaaju reaches out to her constituents over COVID-19 pandemic

    Sheema North County MP in Sheema district Hon. Naome Kibaaju has reached out to her constituents in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

    The legislator has contacted and connected with the office of Chairman LC 5 to supply washing facilities and Soap to all to 15 Trading Centres in her Constituency.

    She said the move is aimed at preventing people from contracting the deadly virus which has so far claimed lives of 16,495 people globally and registered 9 cases in Uganda.

    She advised the people to follow the Ministry of Health guidelines in a bid to fight the pandemic.

    Sheema Municipality wins inaugural Hon. Jacklet Football tournament

    Sheema Municipality Football team was last evening crowned the champions of the inaugural ‘Sheema District Hon Jacklet inter constituency Football tournament’. 
    Sheema Municipality beat Sheema North on spot kicks after 90 minutes ended 1-1.

    In women’s Football, Sheema North constituency was crowned champions after beating Sheema Municipality 2-0.
    The Guest of honor Hon. Brig Gen Francis Takirwa – MP UPDF and 2nd Division command  commended Hon. Jacklet Atuhaire for starting such tournament.

    Hon. Atuhaire Jacklet, the Woman MP Sheema District said the tournament is aimed at uniting the constituents into a more productive population.

    She also added that sport is a uniting factor and such tournaments can bridge the gap and eliminate differences.

    The Member of Parliament (MP) for Sheema North constituency in Sheema district Hon. Naome Kibaaju has met with movers and shakers of Sheema North who reside in Kampala and discussed issues to do with development in the area.

    Together with the area LC 5 Chairman Mr David Kabigumira, Mr. Obadiah Rushambuza the group held dialogue over; education, water, roads, employment and other available opportunitues which will help the people of Sheema North.

    The group agreed to have more engagements and work together together to achieve a common goal.

    With over a year as the area MP, Hon. Kibaaju is one of the most hard working MPs. She has had several achievements beating those who have three years in the house.

    How Naome Kibaju has excelled in just one year as MP for Sheema North

    While some Members of Parliament spend almost their entire terms of office without doing anything to their people, others are excelling in just one year.
    Naome Kibaju, the MP for Sheema North in Sheema District has done what few can do and defied all odds by performing wonders in the constituency and beyond.
    Hon. Kibaju joined parliament one year a go and she has demonstrated how hard working she is.
    While many thought replacing Hon. Elioda Tumwesigye wasn’t easy, Naome Kibaju made it look that easy.
    Her change came when Elioda left the seat to contest for Sheema Municipality and it has been easy for her since then.
     In one year, these are some of the achievements of Hon. Naome Kibaju who is likely to contest again in 2021;
    She has put Kigarama Ambulance back on the road, it had been packed for years.
    She has this year contributed iron sheets for roofing Rweibare Primary School dormitory which was burnt down by electricity, Provided 100 bags  of cement to Masheruka Modern school, provided various primary schools with 30 bags of cement, repaired Kigarama and Masheruka football fields.

    She went on to contribute UGX 3 million  for Health Centre III at Mabare, funded projects at different churches in the area, gave UGX 3 million for Masheruka archdeaconary.
    Hon. Kibaju also contributed UGX 5 million to Ankore Western University (AWU) and not forgetting lobbying for water, roads and electricity for Sheema North.
    She also gave 100 bags of cement to CAD and has sponsored a number of students in schools. Naome has done all this in one year and truly she won’t find any challenges in seeking for another term in 2021. Watch the space! !!!!!
