    2026 Updates: Hon Kamuntu Moses Mwongyera wants to continue serving Rubanda West

    Rubanda West in Rubanda District Member of Parliament Hon. Moses Kamuntu Mwongyera has said he is not yet done with serving the people of Rubanda West.

    As the 11th Parliament terms nears its conclusion, Hon. Moses Kamuntu confirmed to this website that he will be seeking a second term in 2026 and continue serving Rubanda people in the 12th Parliament. He has been effective in his constituency igniting proper service delivery in the areas of health, education, infrastructure, trade and proper representation of the views of Rubanda West people.

    “I am eternally grateful and will continue to do my best in the service of mankind for the people of Rubanda West. It’s a work in progress, and the best is yet to come,” Hon. Moses Kamuntu said.

    Among his achievements; he has so far seen Muko IV into destruct hospital and then turning two Health IIIs into health center IVs, Bulky water for Rubanda district and part of the team raising 19bn for district hospital, increase of revenue sharing from Bwindi National Park, lobbying for the upgrading Muko Katuna Road to tarmac.

    He has been instrumental in the issue of wetland evictions which was stopped until the government gets alternative.

    Water schemes for Muko already in progress, Fighting to get hard to reach status for Rubanda District, opening new feder roads eg Rwaseyeza.The issue of Batwa to get permanent settlement being worked on under his regime.

    Opening integrated steel plant in Muko and part of the team that bought text books for all schools in Rubanda District.

    He has so far donated 40000 packs of hoes which cost him UGX 500m.
    He has also distributed over 5000 bags of cement to churches, hospitals and schools and supported Muko Health III with 200m. Hon. Kamuntu employs over 200 people in his businesses.

    MP Kamuntu launches hoe distribution in Rubanda West to boost farming

    The Rubanda West County Member of Parliament Hon Kamuntu Moses Mwongyera on Sunday 10th April 2022 launched the distribution of hoes to over 35,960 households in the Constituency.

    Launching the distribution exercise at Kishanje catholic parish grounds, Hon Kamuntu said that he has so far secured 50,000 hoes which have cost him over Ugx 500 million, and the hoes were processed from iron ore which he transports abroad for processing several materials.

    He added that the donation is part of the promises he made during the general election campaigns to ensure that each household gets a hoe.

    Kamuntu said that this will be a continuous project until he reaches out to every household, asking the beneficiaries not to sell the hoes but instead use them to improve agriculture in their families.
