    Karole Kasita, Etania and DJ Kathy to perform at Girls on Top night

    Gone are the days when Ugandans knew parties were for only Fridays and Saturdays. Over the years, things have changed and the nightlife business together with the Entertainment of Uganda has grown. There is no specific day for enjoyments but rather every day is a party.

    Nexus Lounge, located in Najjera is one of those hangouts that have redefined nightlife business in Uganda. On Tuesdays, the Najjera based bar introduced a theme night known as Girls on Top.
    Girls on Top at Nexus Lounge means only females will be in charge of the night’s entertainment and tomorrow, Karole Kasita will be seen making her come back on stage after several weeks. Karole has been away on maternity leave since January when she gave birth to a baby boy.

    The singer then decided to give time to the boy as she always stayed home but she finally confirmed to this website that she is back on stage and will be the headlining performer at Nexus Lounge’s girls on top theme night.
    DJ Kathy who is one of the top female DJs in Uganda will also be part of the evening as she will play the music as Etania will hype the show and also do some hyping.

    Entrance to Nexus Lounge will absolutely be free and gates will open as 8pm.

    Nexus events took the party last Saturday from Nexus Lounge in Najjera to Western Uganda at University Inn. The event that was dubbed the Mbarara Jam Fest is one of the events that Nexus Events had promised to take to different cities in Uganda.

    Mbarara was the first stop and Nexus Lounge DJs, Ryan, Selecta Jeff and the hypmen Mc Petre and MC Dougy Nice from NTV Da Beat were the drivers of the event.

    The event kicked off a bit late with the first performance from John Blaq. He came on stage at around 9pm and did all his songs before leaving stage for Mbarara based artistes Omega 256 and Tpaul who performed one after the other.

    Other performances were from Vinka, Zex Bilanjilanji, Spice Diana, Kataleya and Kandle.

    DJ Selecta Jeff and Ryan were on the music and they made Mbarara people dance till the next day as they left at leisure.

    Jam Fest will go to other places like Gulu, Arua, Kabale, Jinja, Mbale and Central region among others.

    For the past few months there has been buzz about the Mbarara Jam Fest and now it’s just a few days away.

    On Saturday 9, 2022, the party will be in Mbarara at University Inn. This is the maiden Jam Fest as it will traverse the country all through the year.

    Organized by Nexus Events, the event will see performances from artistes Vinka, Spice Diana, John Blaq, Daddy Andre, Kataleya and Kandle, Mc Kacheche, NTV’s Daggy Nice and Zex Bilangilangi no among others. There will also be mixes from Selecta Jeff, Selecta Rayan and many more.

    Entrance will be at a fee of Shs10,000 and shs20,000 for VIPs with a table going for Shs300,000 and tickets are available at the gate and at Nexus Lounge in Najjera.

    Top artistes have been confirmed as the entertainers of the Mbarara Jam Fest slated to take place at University Inn in Mbarara next month on 9th.

    The event will be the first of it’s kind and will not only take place in Mbarara as a one off but rather regional as it will happen annually.

    Mbarara Jam Fest is organized by Nexus Events that has been known for providing events equipment’s like light, sound and stage. Apart from that, Nexus Events also mastered the art of holding small events at their bar known as a Nexus Lounge located in Najjera.

    Mbarara Jam Fest will have artistes like Vinka, Spice Diana, John Blaq, Zex Bilanjilanji, Daddy Andre, Kataleya and Kandle, T-Paul and Omega 256.

    The DJs of the evening will be Selecta Jeff, Selecta Ryan, Riddim Selekta and DJ Alberto43.

    Nexus Lounge owner, Ivan Kakooza passes on

    Ivan Kakooza, the owner of the famous Nexus Lounge Najjera and Nexus Events has died.


    Kakooza died last night from Mulago hospital after suffering from COVID-19.

    A friend who was next to him at Mulago also battling COVID-19 said Ivan was recovering well and was almost healing but he had a history of asthma which detoriated things.

    He was pronounced dead last night. May his soul rest well.

    Once The King Herself took over stage revelers the crowd roared with excitement welcoming the star of the night who wasted no time entertaining her fans with “Ayokya Yokya” and “Tebimala”, “One and Only” giving her audience a real Cindy experience. She went through three different sessions on stage with beautifully designed wardrobe changes that lit up the stage even more.

    Cindy’s fans could not contain their excitement as they watched their favourite artist own the stage and put up a performance that was without a doubt 100% authentic and real.     The ‘King’ Herself, Cinderella Sanyu, aka Cindy, is set to hold her maiden concert dubbed “Boom Party Concert” this Saturday, March 7.

    Sponsored by Tusker Malt, the Dancehall artist will make history as the first female artist to take on a venue as prestigious as Lugogo Cricket Oval, one that has pre-dominantly been used by mostly international artists and countable Ugandan artists over years.

    Speaking to journalists during a press briefing held on Monday, March 2, at Bight of Benin, Cindy expressed her excitement and anticipation for Saturday especially that this will be her first concert since going solo.

    “It is about time a Ugandan female artist came and filled up Cricket Oval, this is my vision and I promise to bring you the very best of The King Herself. You cannot afford to miss out on this night,she beamed.

    According to the Tusker Malt Brand Representative, Herbert Ndugwa, the event willbring out the best of the Cindy experience in a historic show that will out-live the expectationsof Kampala’s entertainment scene.

    “Cindy is an amazing artist who has been in the industry for over 10 years, bringing her fans 100% real music always. We are humbled to be a part of her journey as we celebrate her pioneering a huge achievement this Saturday,” said Ndugwa.

    The “Boom Party Concert will feature other performing artists such as Kent & Flosso, Eddy Kenzo, Maro, Karole Kasita, Rabadaba, Silver X (from South Sudan), and Viper Ranking; just to mention.

    Ordinary tickets to the “Boom Party” Concert are being sold at Shs. 20,000, VIP tickets at Shs.50,000 and a table going for Shs 1,000,000.

    Tanzanian star Ali Kiba jets in ahead of concert at Lugogo Hockey Grounds

    Kampala’s party lovers have another reason to prove that enjoyments know no rest as they gear up for a funfilled live concert of Tanzania’s singer Ali Kiba who jetted in this evening ahead of his concert slated to take place Friday evening.

    The catchy new party anthem ‘parte after parte’ that has been roaring all over the city’s streets and sending social media into a frenzy will yet again thunder more at the Lugogo Hockey Grounds tomorrow evening as Nexus Events and Tusker Malt ignite the party vibes to start off a lit weekend.

    Ali Kiba will be performing live alongside Uganda’s favouritehitmakers Sheebah Karungi and John Blaq with Salvado as host who is surely going to tickle some bones into laughter during the concert’s break instalments.

    This will be the second time the ‘Aje’ star will be making a public performance following his first concert in 2016 with the Blankets and Wine music festival.
