Mr. Mike Mukula, a man once respected for his political influence, has come under fire after failing to draw a line between politics and human dignity.
Most Ugandans on social media have described his false accusations against Pilgrim Africa, a humanitarian NGO that has saved countless lives across Uganda as shameful and unforgivable act. The question every Ugandan should be asking is this, what kind of man targets an organization whose only mission is to heal, educate, and empower our people?
Pilgrim Africa has never been about politics. It’s been about purpose. About people. About hope. This is an organization that has treated the sick, educated the poor, fought deadly diseases like malaria, and fed hungry families. And yet, here comes Mike Mukula, choosing to spread false stories and baseless allegations in an attempt to destroy what good still exists in our society.
Mike Mukula
This isn’t a man standing for justice. This is a man playing dirty, destructive games with people’s lives.
Mukula’s actions are not just disappointing—they are disgusting. There is no honor in using lies to discredit those who are doing real, sacrificial work to uplift communities. There is no leadership in dragging down the innocent while hiding behind political influence.
Let’s not forget who we are dealing with. This is the same Mike Mukula whose name has appeared in multiple scandals over the years. A man who has tasted power, but not responsibility. A man who has mastered the art of manipulating public opinion for his personal benefit.
Now he targets Pilgrim Africa—not because they’ve done wrong, but because they’ve done right. Because they are loved. Because they are effective. Because they are everything he is not.
By attacking Pilgrim Africa, Mukula has exposed his true character: bitter, insecure, and power-hungry. No man with a genuine heart would ever stoop so low as to try and ruin the reputation of an NGO that has helped the most vulnerable in our country.
This is not just about politics anymore. This is about character. Mukula’s lies are not hurting politicians. They are hurting children who depend on Pilgrim Africa’s schools. They are hurting pregnant women and malaria patients who rely on their medical care. They are hurting poor farmers trying to feed their families.
Only someone who has lost all connection with humanity. Only someone who cares more about his name trending online than about real lives being saved on the ground.
It is outrageous. It is wicked. And it must not be tolerated.
Ugandans, it’s time to open our eyes. What Mike Mukula is doing is not leadership, it’s betrayal. He has betrayed the public trust. He has betrayed the very values we expect from anyone who calls himself a leader. And now, he’s trying to destroy one of the few organizations still doing good in this country.
Let’s not fall for it. Let’s stand together and say: enough is enough. History will remember this moment. It will remember that while Pilgrim Africa was saving lives, Mike Mukula was spreading lies. While others were lifting up communities, he was tearing them down. While hope was being offered, he was trying to snatch it away.
If this is the legacy Mike Mukula wants to leave behind one of deceit, cruelty, and betrayal—then let him carry that shame alone.
Many might be lining up to take photos with a healthy Jose Chameleone but we must put our hands together and applaud one person who has helped him to this level and that’s Ms Juliet Zawedde.
In December last year, the America based Ugandan entrepreneur and socialite Ms Juliet Zawedde jetted in for Christmas festivities in Kampala but she was welcomed by the news of the then ailing singer, Jose Chameleone.
Jose Chameleone now looks healthier, young and much better than he was before Juliet Zawedde’s intervention
She had actually spent a few days here before Jose was rushed to Nakasero Hospital and from there it all started. She frequently visited him at the hospital encouraging him that all will be well and went on to help him clear the hospital bill.
As the singer’s conditions deteriorated, he was referred to the USA to seek specialised treatment.
Juliet Zawedde has taken care of Jose Chameleone for the last five months
It is at this point that madam Juliet Zawedde intervened again, cutting short her festive season plans in Kampala to organise quickly for the singer to be flown out.
Ms Juliet Zawedde being a USA citizen, she took over and flew back to the USA with the ailing singer and her brother Weasel.
Jose Chameleone, full of energy has resumed work
In the USA, she housed the two brothers facilitating everything related to their stay including all the bills and driving the sick singer in and out of the hospital.
She housed them for a cool four months and they were being provided with everything they needed.
In fact the legendary singer didn’t incur any costs in all this, and Jose Chameleone in whatever you are doing, kneel down everyday and pray to God the first day you met Juliet Zawedde.
Meanwhile at the helm of his sickness, the singer was battling a number of domestic violence accusations from his estranged wife Daniela Atim and his son Abba Marcus Mayanja who are now based in the USA and the situation was getting nasty for him but Zawedde was a miracle to the family.
Jose Chameleone now looks younger than never before, the man had gotten worn out.
Juliet Zawedde has been praised by Ugandans on social media for saving the singer’s life
Dear Jose Chameleone, you are hosting that Thanksgiving service at St Joseph Church Lweza this Thursday because of one person not even your parents, brothers, Uncles, any relatives or friends but Juliet Zawedde, the lady with a heart of gold.
While many of the celebrities are lining up to pose for photos with you, a section of your fans have taken to social media to applaud and thank Juliet Zawedde for taking care of you and saving your life instead.
Big up to Juliet Zawedde, keep that golden heart flying all over the world, God will surely reward you abundantly.
It’s a shame that none of the celebrities apart from Capt. Mike Mukula who lauded Juliet Zawedde for what she did, has come up to appreciate the work of Juliet Zawedde but are quick to run to a healthier Jose Chameleone for photo opportunities.
“Our musical Legend and East African popular musician And close friend Jose Chameleone gave me a gracious courtesy call at home today after his medical treatment in the USA and I am extremely grateful to all the doctors and my sister in the us Zawedde for the support,” Mike Mukula said.
Renown business man and captain Mike Mukula has met musicians Pius Mayanja also known as Pallaso and Alien Skin for reconciliation Sessions.
He said that the meetings were a success as the musicians are making great progress and he hopes for the best.
Alien Skin and Pallaso’s beef trails from way back at the beginning of Alien’s career. The fight between them started his music career although he seemed to have reconciled and moved on with life.
That peace between them came to an end on new years when Alien Skin’s gang provoked Pallaso as he performed at empeele festival.
He also revenged by showed up at the home of Alien Skin and dismantling the cars that were parked outside and even breaking some of the house windows.
Different music stake holders have asked the two to reconcile and keep their differences far from each other.
Captain Mukula sat with both artistes yesterday differently and he said that they are willing to move past what happened.
“As The Patron of Uganda musicians Association … I had an excellent reconciliation session with the musicians ALIEN SKIN separately and PALLASO accompanied by his Parents at my residence Bugolobi today and I am delighted to say that we are making great progress,”
Mr. Yusuf Mutembuli, the Democratic Party Vice President in charge of the Eastern Region and a People Power Coordinator in the same area has defected to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
NRM Vice Chairman for Eastern Region Hon Capt. Mike Mukula officially received Mutembuli at the Party Secretariat in Kampala this Tuesday. The function was also witnessed by Dr Hassan Galiwango, the Director Finance & Administration.
Mutembuli, who is an Advocate of the High Court and a Lecturer at Law Development Centre (LDC), said he was recruited in DP fifteen years ago but highly disappointed that to date his former side wasn’t anywhere close to winning a Presidential race.
“Any serious Political Party must have an agenda and timelines. Unfortunately DP seems more than 50years away from State House”, he said.
He added, “I tried People Power but only to find them limited to casual business like drumming saucepans using spoons. All these are Political Clubs playing within the relegation zone and its NRM in the Champions League and that’s why am joining a winning team. NRM may not be 100% perfect but I rank it at 80%”.
Mutembuli contested on a DP ticket in 2016 and lost to NRM’s Nagomu Musamba Moses. He confessed here that despite the numerous attacks on NRM and the person of the President mainly in 2005/2006, he was never harassed or tortured by any one from the ruling side.
“NRM tolerates others and the only way of paying them back is to join them. Am here to work with anyone in NRM but not to fight within NRM” he stressed before adding that he was aware of the likely attacks from his former side but vowed ready to counter them.
“I therefore denounce all my positions in DP and People Power today and officially announce that I have accepted to join NRM willingly. I am also in talks with others to follow “, said a visibly excited Mutembuli.
He came with Mr. Sihigimba Peter the DP Chairperson of Mazimasa Sub County who also publicly declared that he had taken a decision to join NRM. They were both decorated in the yellow Party colours and handed copies of the Constitution by Hon Mukula.
Hon Mukula welcomed them to NRM saying the ruling Party was all inclusive and guaranteed them a comfortable stay. He urged them to fish out more members to join NRM.
The function was witnessed by a delegation of leaders from Butaleja led by the District NRM Chairperson Hajji Issa Walugo and businessman Dr. Alfred Higenyi Namuswa. Also in attendance were the newly nominated Directors Hon Mathias Kasamba (Mobilisation) & Hon Emmanuel Dombo (Media).
The Minister of State for Finance incharge of Investment Hon Anite Evelyn, Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) board member Morrison Rwakakamba and Hon. Mike Mukula have said the Fuel Storage Terminal and Transport System under construction at Bugiri-Bukasa will ease fuel transportation between Uganda and Kenya.
The Minister together with Capt. Mike Mukula, the chairman of Mahathi Infra Uganda Limited and UIA board member Morrison Rwakakamba yesterday inspected the fuel storage terminal and lake Victoria fuel transport system in Bugiri-Bukasa along Lake Victoria.
The project, which was recently commissioned by H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will store up to 70 million litres of fuel making it one of the largest fuel terminals in East and Central Africa.
Upon completion the costs of transporting petroleum products are likely to drop by almost 50%.
The Fuel terminal and transport system will help ease transportation of fuel between Kenya and Uganda since the Kenya has a fuel terminal at Kisumu on Lake Victoria.
Petroleum products transported by road are quite costly and susceptible to adulteration and accidents.
Anite said the transport system will also ensure reliability in petroleum supplies, provide direct employment to both Ugandan and Kenyan citizens and indirect employment to many due to development of ancillary industries.
The project will also help provide skill development of local persons in marine and mechanical sectors.

We discussed cyber security issues and possible areas of collaboration between our sector and their state agencies. Follow up discussions will continue in November,” Frank Tumwebaze said.
