    President Kagame of Rwanda Receives StarTimes in Rwanda and its Chairman Pang Xinxing

    On the afternoon of 28 July, President Kagame of Rwanda, received Pang Xinxing, Chairman of StarTimes Group.

    During the meeting, Chairman Pang first thanked the Rwandan government and President Kagame for the support and help given to StarTimes. Then he introduced the development situation of StarTimes Group and StarTimes Rwanda, also mentioned that the latest StarTimes Inside digital TV set has been launched to the Rwandan market, which is built-in with the latest R&D technology of StarTimes and has obvious advantages over the previous products.

    In the first half of next year, StarTimes will again launch smart TV sets with built-in new technology to provide Rwandan people with a better digital TV experience. Chairman Pang said that StarTimes is willing to help to accelerate the popularisation of digital TV and make greater contribution to promoting the progress of digital TV in Rwanda.

    President Kagame expressed his pleasure to meet with StarTimes again. He fully affirmed the development and achievements of StarTimes, and highly appreciated the high-tech products of StarTimes. He said that StarTimes can completely trust the Rwandan government, and they will strongly support the business development of StarTimes in Rwanda.

    Ingabire Paula, Minister of ICT and Innovation, Nelly Mukazayire, Deputy CEO of RDB, Wang Fan, CEO of StarTimes Rwanda, Meng Li, General Manager of StarTimes Media Company participated the meeting.

    Rwanda is the starting point of StarTimes’ business in Africa. In 2007, after many efforts, StarTimes obtained the digital TV operation license issued by the Rwandan government, which is also the first operation license that StarTimes obtained in Africa.

    In the following year, StarTimes officially started its operation in Rwanda, and quickly attracted a large number of users with its affordable prices and high-quality services. The good start of StarTimes’ business in Rwanda has also become an important starting point for the rapid expansion of its layout in Africa.

    Today, StarTimes has become a media group registered and established company in more than 30 countries in Africa, engaging in digital TV and Internet video business operations, serving more than 40 million digital TV users and mobile end users.

    Showbiz Uganda: What kind of modeling do  you do?
    Keza: I was in the agency doing runway catwalk but now am doing for myself. I am now a commercial model who has a big dream of turning into a big star in the industry.
    Showbiz Uganda: How do you find modeling industry in Rwanda 
    Keza: Modeling here is getting much attention and audience than never before. We have many upcoming designers and models and people are loving it.
    Showbiz Uganda: Tell us about your love life?
    Keza: I don’t like putting my personal life in the media because it can affect my daily life. So my  love life i keep it a secret.
    Showbiz Uganda: What do you do in your leisure time
    Keza:  It depends on the time but mostly during my free time i cook because i love cooking and then reading. I read a lot of novel books.

    Showbiz Uganda: As a model, what challenges have you faced in the industry 
    Keza: The biggest challenge we have as models in Rwanda is that we don’t have many platforms to show ourselves on. That is the biggest problem affecting our careers as models.
    Showbiz Uganda: Where do you see yourself in five years?
    Keza: I want to be successful in my career that’s why I don’t want to be local, I believe that my level of modeling in five years will be at an international level. I am working hard to achieve that.

    Showbiz Uganda: Who inspired you into modeling?
    Keza: I was inspired into modeling by Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima during her Victoria Secrets years.
    Showbiz Uganda: Are you into sports if yes what is your favourite team?
    Keza: I do sport myself like swimming and volleyball. Sometimes football because of dad he likes so much football so when we go back home I mean to visit them like on Sundays, there’s a time he tell us
    You know what guys go and change clothes then we play football and the we divide into two teams.
    Showbiz Uganda: What is your last message to all your fans and the aspiring young models
    Keza: I want the to have focus, discipline and love what the do. With these, they will no doubt succeed.
