    Masaka: Saturday night at Club Tavern Parking Lot was a refreshing dose of fun, excitement and energy for Masaka’s party animals as the Johnnie Walker Highball Tour pitched camp in the soon-to-be city that never sleeps.

    Revellers who flocked the club by 9:00pm got more than they had anticipated as they were treated to an unforgettable Highball experience; a free Johnnie Walker Highball cocktail for each one on entry.


    The
    party started with Selector Jay alongside Miss Deedan who set the tone for revellers as they excitedlyintroduced the crowd to the Highball. There wereseveral cocktail formulas on display like Johnnie Ginger, Johnnie Lemon among others for revelers to sample.

    Not long after, the stars of the night, Jose Chameleone and Chosen Becky took to the stage sending the crowd wild with excitement. The two brought the house down with songs like “Byabangi”, “Kyosaba,” “Bankuza”—a particular favourite with the crowd—and the legendary hits by Chameleon like “Mateka”, “Mama Mia,”“Hana” before winding down to an enthrallingperformance of his hit song Wale Wale that had revelers up on their feet wishing the night would not end.

    Speaking to journalists at the event, Felicia Kanyesigye of Muchachos, the official organisers of the event spoke fondly of a couple of the exciting moments the tour has garnered since.

    “It has been quite an adventure since we started this tour. I can proudly say we are now at the point whereconsumers and guests who attend every event are aware of the Johnnie Walker Highball, the craft behind it and the experience. Tonight has truly been unforgettable,” she said.

    However, the highlight of the night was when an elderly man was called onto the Highball stage to join Miss Deedan and Selector Jay for a fire-crackling dance-off, earning him a handful of notes from the cheering crowd.

    The night was capped with Masaka’s very own Basakala Boys who had the crowds going wild with laughter at their comical acts not forgetting DJ Batta,DJ Katts and MC Might Dragon who took it a notch higher with music mixing that kept the revellers dancing until the wee hours of Sunday morning.


    The
    Johnnie Walker Highball tour has already made pit stops in four major towns around the country: Gulu, Mbale, Fort Portal, Mbarara. The next destination is Arua.

    This Saturday, Legendary hitmaker, Dr Jose Chameleone will be heading out-west as the headlining act for Masaka’s edition of the popular Johnnie Walker Highball Tour party series at Club Tavern.

    Chameleone who most recently hired Bijou, one of Kampala’s renowned female events managers as his new manager is surely out to win over fans hearts and revamp his image as the pair kick off their journey in Masaka.

    With the coming of the era of Bijou, who is also the Chief Executive Officer at Muchachos Ltd, the star’s interests are definitely a priority in the public eye as they, the organisers have already alerted fans of their next pitstop by placing the famed Johnnie Walker striding man at the Equator marker found along the Kampala-Masaka highway for the ultimate party turn-up.

    The star will share the Highball stage with the crème-de-la-crème Selector Jay, Miss Deedan and daughter of the land, Chosen Becky who is set to impress her Masaka fans with songs like Byabangi, Aliba Ani, Bankuza, a hit for many lovers.

    In the midst of the party craze, guests will also be introduced to the Highball, a brand-new way through which they can consume their whisky whilst giving them a fun and exciting experience.

    Other acts joining the epic line up include some of Masaka’s very own DJ’s and MC’s like DJ Matta DJ Katts and MC Might Dragon.

    Entrance to the event goes for Shs10,000 and comes with a free cocktail to start off the party.

    Jose Chameleone, Ray G to kick-start the Highball tour in Mbarara

    The Johnnie Walker Highball tour is back with a bang and is starting the New Year big in the Western town of Mbarara this Thursday with the one and only musicaldoctor Jose Chameleone set to grace the Highball stage.

    The legendary hitmaker who is running for the Kampala Lord Mayoral seat come 2021 has definitely not thrown out his musical hat yet as he will be headlining the Mbarara edition this Thursday Jan 6, at the Signature Premium Bar in Mbarara town.

    The star who is undoubtedly one of the most popular artists of the 21st century in Africa is expected to take revellers in Mbarara down memory lane with some of the biggest hit songs of all time. These will include like Jamila, Dorotia, Valu Valu among others.

    The East African music heavy weight will be performing alongside one of Mbarara’s latest big talent Ray G who broke through to the mainstream music scene last yearwith ‘Omusheshe,’ his collaboration with Spice Diana.

    On the ones and twos will be the tour’s main headliner DJ, Selector Jay. Other performances to look out for include some of Mbarara’s baddest DJs; MC Kacheche, Riddim Selekta, DJ Grammer 254, DJ Alex, DJ Sadat, DJ Stevra, and MC Ruff Baz.

    Entrance to the event goes for Shs20,000 and comes with a free 200ML Johnnie Walker.

    Organised by Muchachos, the tour that took a break at the end of last year after a thrilling stop in Fort Portal is aimed at introducing upcountry folk to a brand-new way through which they can consume their whisky whilst giving them an awesome experience. After Mbarara, the tour will go to Masaka later in the year.

    Fort Portal: Singer Winnie Nwagi left Fort Portal town on its knees after throwing a beguiling performance during the Johnnie Walker Highball tour that took place at Afrikana Sports Bar on Saturday Night.

    The tour that has been traversing the whole country since August closed the year in style shutting down Fort Portal for an epic show with an action packed line up of artists and undoubtedly Uganda’s hottest DJ Selector Jay who like clockwork made revelers and town folk dance throughout the night.

    The salacious singer left revellers at the event begging for more after she turned the stage upside down performing her top hits like “Mataala”, “Bwogana” her collaboration with rapper Recho Ray, “For You”, “Yitayo” and her latest club banger “Amaaso” collaboration with Vinka.


    She shared her stag
    e with Singer Pallaso who electrified the packed crowd with “Twatooba” his collaboration with Nigeria’s Davido, “Amaaso”, “wine”, but it was his “Kirira” hit song that got the fully packed venue of revellers winding down just like the song suggests.

    Packed to capacity, the night that also doubled as a learning experience saw revellers learn new and fresh ways through which they could consume Johnnie Walker Whisky as they were introduced to the Johnnie Walker Highball Cocktails.


    Speaking to journalists during the event Internatio
    nal Premium Spirits Brand Manager Roger Agamba laid it all down as to why he was excited about the event.

    “ As Johnnie Walker, we had set out on a mission this year to show our consumers out there that you can still be young and vibrant even with Johnnie Walker hence the Highball, which has seen us experience some of our most memorable moments around the country including tonight,” said Agamba.

    The event also featured performances from some of Fort portal’s finest artists who showed that they understand their home crowd. These included; Carol K, Coolman Jimmy among others and a surprising act The Myth who was in Fort Portal to surprise celebrated Mc Radio City’s Deedan for her birthday who happens to be the host of the Johnnie Walker Highball tours .


    The
    night ended on a high with smashing DJ mixes from Selector Jay. The tour that has been to three major cities in the country so far will be crowning the tour with an event in Mbarara in January 2020.
