    The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon.Thomas Tayebwa has described a tweet moving across the social media platforms about his new vehicle arriving next week as 100% fake. 
    The Deputy Speaker did not author the said tweet.

    He called on the general public to disregard the tweet and tweet with the contempt it deserves.

    “Please disregard this tweet and treat it with the contempt it deserves,” Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa tweeted.

    Ruhinda North County in Mitooma district MP who also doubles as the government Chief Whip Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has spent Saturday morning meeting with some of his constituents.

    They discussed service delivery and ways of how to boost constituency development. This was at his country home in Bitereko.

    “Meeting some of my constituents today morning at my country home in Bitereko. I always love it when i have a one on one with each of those who come to check on me. We discuss both personal & constituent development issues,” Hon. Tayebwa tweeted.

     

    During his time as MP for Ruhinda, Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has fully transformed the constituency that was struggling in terms of development.

    Thomas Tayebwa welcomes Orthodox Church boss

    Government Chief Whip Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has welcomed the head of Orthodox Church in the world his Holiness Patriarch Theodore II.

    He is in Uganda to mourn the late His Eminence Jonah Lwanga who died some weeks ago.

    “This afternoon on behalf of Govt i received His Holiness Patriarch Theodore II head of the Orthodox Church who has come to mourn the late His Eminence Jonah Lwanga. He thanked government for giving an official burial to His Eminence and will meet H.E Kaguta Museveni later this week,” Hon. Thomas Tayebwa tweeted.

    Tayebwa meets Ruhinda Youth Leadership on Money Economy

    Ruhinda North MP Hon. Thomas Tayebwa who also doubles as the government chief whip has met with youth leaders in his constituency.

    Hon. Tayebwa met the leaders today morning and they discussed issues of Emyoga, parish model and strategies to bring more youth into money economy.

    The MP met the leaders at his country home in Ruhinda.

    “This morning i held a consultative meeting with youth leaders 4rm all of Ruhinda North at my country home. We discussed issues of emyoga, parish model & strategies 4 bringing more of our youth into money economy. Was joined by WMP Mitooma Hon. Juliet B & District CP Karyeija,” Thomas Tayebwa said after the meeting.

    NRM committee chairpersons agree on timely processing of government business

    The Government Chief Whip Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has said the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) committee chairpersons and their deputies have agreed on building cohesion and timely processing of government business before parliament.

    This was during a meeting between him and NRM designated Committee chairpersons and their deputies, NRM Whips of Accountability Committee Chairpersons and Caucus members.

    He said the agreed on things will ensure government business is in line with National Development Plan III and NRM Manifesto.

    “Today I held a meeting with NRM designated Committee Chairpersons, their Deputies, NRM Whips of Accountability Committees and Caucus Executive Members to discuss strategies of executing Government Legislative Agenda for FY 2021/22. We agreed on building cohesion, timely processing of government business before Parliament, and ensuring government business is in line with National Development Plan III and NRM Manifesto,” Thomas Tayebwa said.

    Thomas Tayebwa takes Ruhinda North NRM Flag bearer ticket

    Incumbent Member of Parliament Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has retained NRM ticket for flag bearer of Ruhinda North constituency in Mitooma District. 

    Mr. Tayebwa won 166 villages out of 168 in the constituency and scored 80.7% of the total votes. He increased from 73.2% he got from last term’s primaries five years ago.

    After he was declared winner, Hon. Thomas had this to say;

    “Thank you Ruhinda North for the great support in today’s NRM Parliamentary Primaries. We have won 166 out of 168 villages in our county. I really can’t thank you enough. For us to improve on our percentage of 5 years ago from 73.2% to 80.7% is a big vote of confidence in our leadership. We promise to do even better. I also congratulate my brother Dr. Moses Twimukye for putting up a spirited fight. He was a worthy competitor. I will be linking up with him to see how I can incorporate some of his wonderful ideas into my work-plan. For now Katugumizemu N’entunguuka,” Hon. Thomas Tayebwa said.

    Thomas Tayebwa calls on Ruhinda North to vote him again for continued development

    Hon. Tayebwa Thomas was yesterday officially nominated in NRM primaries at Kyadondo for the forthcoming elections.
    He is seeking his second term to represent the people of Ruhinda North in Mitooma District in the 11th Parliament.
    After his nomination, Mr. Tayebwa called on his constituents to support him again so that he can continue his developmental work in the constituency.
    In the last five years, Hon. Tayebwa has totally changed the constituency from lack of social services to providing services needed by the people.
    Electricity, water, good roads, health which were lacking have been worked on and has vowed to continue delivering through lobbying from government and friends.
    “Another big stride made today as I got officially nominated in the NRM Parliamentary Primaries for Ruhinda North County, Mitooma District.     Thomas Tayebwa releases official poster for next year’s general elections

    Ruhinda North County in Mitooma District MP Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has released his official poster for the forth coming General elections.

    The poster will be used in NRM primaries later this year and in next year’s general elections.

    Hon. Tayebwa said he will build on what he has achieved in his constituency for the last five years.

I joined elective politics to be the change and transformation I desired in my constituency.     Ruhinda North County in Mitooma District MP Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has today picked nomination forms to contest for Ruhinda North constituency seat in 11th Parliament in the NRM Primaries.
    Mr. Thomas Tayebwa is the current area Member of Parliament and is among the most hard working MPs in the 10th Parliament.
    He is expected to retain his seat in next year’s general elections.
    Ruhinda North has truly changed for better under his leadership and with that he is most likely to go through un opposed.

    Hon. Tayebwa Thomas excited by NBS, NTV entertainment shows battle

    Ruhinda North County MP in Mitooma District Hon. Thomas Tayebwa can’t get over entertainment battle between the country’s leading two Televisions NBS and NTV.


    Because of the ongoing lockdown and quarantine due to the outbreak of COVID-19 globally caused by Coronavirus, the stations have resorted to live shows to entertain their viewers. The two stations have taken their battle to weekend shows to have their fans entertained with overnight shows.


    The legislator joking posted on his social media platform Facebook that Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) should come in and rescue them from these guys who can’t allow people to sleep due to their irresistible shows.

    “NBS SNL and NTV Dance party you are to blame if I break my ribs,” Hon. Tayebwa Thomas posted.
