Mbarara City Woman MP, Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda, is expected to preside over as Chief Guest at St. Peter’s Kyamugorani Parish in Mbarara City today.
This will be during Mary Magadeleene’s Day celebrations this morning. This function is hosted by Rev. Gordon Gumisiriza Parish Priest Kyamugorani with Juliet Kamushana as the speaker.

The people of Mbarara City have hailed their Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda and have sincerely thanked foreffectively representing them in Parliament so far.

While speaking on the floor of Parliament, Hon. Kibaaju Charity called on the government to compensate traders who lost their valuables during the fire outbreak this on Makhan Singh Street.
“Rt Hon Speaker, I bring to the attention of this House the fire outbreak of 4th Aug 2026 at Timber Market, Biafra Cell, Mbarara City North that destroyed businesses of 152 dealers. Namisindwa District Woman MP Hon. Khalayi Peace and Mbarara City Woman MP Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda yesterday joined other leaders in paying tribute to deceased veteran politician Gen. Moses Ali, the MP for Adjumani West in Adjumani District in West Nile.
“Today i joined other leaders to pay tribute to our father and giant, the late General Moses Ali at Parliament of Uganda.The the cock of Westnile who championed peace, stability and unity. We do not take this legacy for granted. May His soul Rest in Power,” Hon. Khalayi Peace said.
Mbarara City Woman MP Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda described Gen. Moses Ali as a champion of peace and security who championed stability for the people of Uganda by giving up rebel activities. She said his legacy will never forgotten.
Gen. Moses Ali will be laid to rest tofsy at his ancestral home in Adjumani.
Mbarara City Woman MP elect, Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda, was among the high profile personalities at the late Rajiv Ruparelia memorial. The function in memory of the only son of Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia who died a year a go today in a fatal motor accident along Munyonyo expressway.
Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda remembers Rajiv as a humanitarian, very social and who was contributing a lot to the country. She said the country lost a gem in him. She hailed him for leaving a legacy that will go on and on. In the memory of his death, Ruparelia Foundation carried Prosthetic Leg Donation Drive at Mulago Hospital.
They then carried out a memorial drive from RR Pearl Tower built in his memory to Speke Resort Munyonyo for a candle lighting Ceremony.

Mbarara City Woman MP elect, Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda, has pledged to transform and restore the lost glory of Mbarara City after her Kyankwanzi experience during the recently concluded NRM Leaders’ retreat.
She said she will turn her learnings into tangible development for her people and all Ugandans and to carry that knowledge to the floor of the 12th Parliament.
Hon. Kibaaju Charity left the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi on Tuesday carrying more than just a certificate of completion — she carried a renewed sense of purpose, a sharpened development agenda, and a clear message for the people of Mbarara City who elected her as their Woman Member of Parliament.
Hon. Kibaaju has described the residential training as a transformative experience that has broadened her understanding more on leadership, national governance, and Uganda’s long-term development goals.
“I have experienced new learnings. I will slowly and surely deliver it to my people and I will also further exercise it in Parliament. The leadership knowledge I gained here is not just for me; it belongs to every person in Mbarara and the entire country at large,” Hon. Kibaaju Charity said.
The retreat brought together newly elected and appointed leaders of the ruling NRM party for a period of intensive engagement with Uganda’s governance framework, policy priorities, and the philosophy underpinning the ruling party’s vision for national transformation. Participants were exposed to sessions on economic management, security, social services delivery, and ethical governance — all central to the NRM’s broad development agenda.
During her campaigns, Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda promised to restore the lost glory of Mbarara City and with this kind of retreat, nothing will stop her.
“The retreat reminded me that the work of transformation is collective. A united leadership is the key to a transformed Mbarara City. I now know it is possible and it will be done,” she added.
She called on the new leaders of Mbarara to come together and work for the good of the people who elected them. “They need us, we need them,” she concluded.
Mbarara City Woman MP elect, Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda, has wished the people of Mbarara City and Uganda a happy and blessed Easter Sunday.

She called on the people to use this Easter period to forgive and unite for a better developed Uganda.
Hon. Charity Kibaaju, Mbarara City Woman MP elect, has today joined thousands of believers at Booma Grounds in Mbarara City for the Way of the Cross. Speaking at the event, Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda wished all the faithful a Good Friday and Happiest Easter.
She told the believers to use this Easter and forgive each other for the betterment of their communities.
“With the country a few months from the general elections, Easter comes at the right time. Use this opportunity to forgive one another and work towards the development of our city and country,” Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda said.
