    Singer Jowy Landa has moved from one management to another just like any other artistes and finally, she got to settle with 7star management. 7 Star Management is a music label owned by celebrated city DJs known as Deejay Roja, the other half of DJ Slick Stuart and Roja.

    Working together, Deejay Roja and Jowy Landa have managed to put together some good projects and some of these include Wire Wire, Rolex and Am Badder featuring Grenade among others.

    eebah and Cindy mash-up, many connected her to TNS and this led to stories of Jowy Landa leaving 7star to join Team No Sleep.

    It is confirmed that Jowy Landa has not left 7 Star but rather she is working with both labels. Roja’s 7 Star management has signed a contract to work with Team No Sleep to both management Jowy Landa’s music.

    The first collaborative project is titled Teacher and it is being released soon. The song was produced by Eno Beats and according to Deejay Roja, there are more collaborative projects that will be released back to back.

    For starters, Jeff Kiwa is the boss behind Team No Sleep, a music label that has managed most of the big stars of Uganda like Sheebah, Chameleone, Radio and Weasel, Grenade, Rodeny Y Kabako and Late Akay 47 among others.

    On Thursday evening, the dynamic DJ duo- DJ Slick Stuart and Roja, took their fans on a whirlwind experience at the eighth edition of their annual Mixtape Blend.

    Guests were taken on a journey of music and taste as the event’s lead sponsor- Johnnie Walker went all out to give party goers an experience that left them with lasting memories.
    Upon arrival, revellers were taken through the 12-year journey of Johnnie Walker Black Label by mixologists, before being handed a signature Johnnie Walker Cocktail.

    They kept gathering in small groups, around the Johnnie Walker flavour studio as they were immersed through the journey of blending, ageing and tasting the iconic whisky brand.

    They then gathered around the Johnnie Walker lounge, in small groups, as mixologists gave mentorships on how to savor the taste of the iconic whisky brand.

    Inside Victoria Hall, was a stage set for an exhilarating experience; it was lights, camera, and action, as some of the biggest names in the DJ industry took to the stage and showered revelers with showstopping performances on the turntables.

    Fem DJ, Sir Aludah, DJ Mercy, all showed up and gave revellers a show to remember. Selector Jay got the crowd on their feet and danced as they sang along to his reggae mixes.The highlight of the night, however, was when the main characters took to the turntables.

    The idea was to give revellers a showstopping deejaying event and boy did they deliver!
    The dynamic duo did not leave any breadcrumbs, as no one remained seated! It was evident that the night was a perfect celebration of eight years of Slick & Roja, with the perfect blend that is Johnnie Walker Black Label.

    “I am very happy that we partnered with the Mixtape Blend. As a brand, this was not only a celebration of the progress that Slick Stuart and Roja have made, but it was also a good opportunity to re-introduce music lovers to the perfect blend that is Johnnie Walker Black Label,” said Christine Kyokunda, Johnnie Walker Brand Manager.

    Speaking of the perfect blend, the audience was absolutely not ready for the Amapiano blend that South African DJ and producer Felo le Tee spilled through his turntables!

    The Mixtape Blend is headed on a country tour, that will see them make stops and share the experience with their fans across the country.

    South Africa’s DJ Felo Le Tee jets in for the DJ Slick Stuart & Roja Mixtape Blend

    Amapiano enthusiasts will be pleased to know that South African celebrated Disc spinner- DJ Felo Le Tee, has landed at Entebbe International Airport this afternoon, ahead of his performance at the DJ Slick Stuart and Roja Mixtape Blend slated for tomorrow (Thursday November 3rd) at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

    The star who arrived in Uganda a few minutes after 4pm, said he was proud and excited, to be flying in to support fellow deejays that have made bold steps in their careers.

    “I’m excited to be in Uganda, but I’m even more excited that I’m here to support my fellow Djs that have made a mark on the deejaying industry in Uganda. I’m super proud of Dj Slick Stuart and Roja for raising the bar this high. I want to invite all my Ugandan fans out there, to come out in big numbers and we toast to these brothers, with Johnnie Walker and of course some Amapiano vybes,” he said.

    Preparations for the highly anticipated event are in high gear, and going by some of the photos shared on the Johnnie Walker Uganda pages, the Kampala Serena Hotel Victoria Hall, is not going to be the same tomorrow.

    Felo, just like Slick Stuart & Roja, is both a DJ and producer with some of the biggest Amapiano bangers on the continent under his belt. These include Manca, a collaboration he did with Toss, TikTok hit Dipatje Tsa Felo that got people all-over the continent choreographing to the song on Tik Tok, and Ngwana Mani a collaboration with Madumane, Mpura, Kabza De small, and Visca among others.

    Felo will be sharing the stage with some of Uganda’s biggest, Winnie Nwagi, Bebe Cool, Sheebah, Spice Diana, and Rickman, among others. The event will also feature other top Ugandan DJ’s including Selector Jay, Sir Aluda, Naselow, Cacie, Fem Dj, Mercy Pro, as well as upcoming Djs- Lynda Dane and Etania.

    Radio hosts- Ms Deedan and Timothy Code, who together with Dj Slick Stuart, form part of Johnnie Walker Uganda influencers known as ‘the Walkers,’ will be the main hosts of tomorrow’s event.

    The Dj Slick Stuart and Roja Mixtape Blend is proudly sponsored by Johnnie Walker, who during the event press briefing, held on Monday, promised an immersive experience into the world of scotch.

    Early bird tickets to the show, are going for Shs 70k, but will be going at Shs 100k at the gate on d-day. A table of eighty is going for Shs2.5m. Gates will be open at 5pm.

    Kampala: The annual DJ Slick Stuart and Roja concert, dubbed the Mixtape Blend, is back and is slated for this Thursday, November 3rd at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

    To ensure the Mixtape Blend lives to be a true representation of DJ Slick Stuart and partner DJ Roja’s undisputed contribution to the deejaying industry, iconic whisky brand Johnnie Walker has signed up as the official event sponsor, to further stamp the event as the biggest deejaying affair in the country.

    The announcement was made on Monday, October 31st at a press briefing held at Next Media Park.

    The sponsorship does not come as a surprise, since DJ Slick Stuart was earlier this year named among the Johnnie Walker Uganda influencers, also known as ‘The Walkers.’

    The partnership with Johnnie Walker also explains the change of the event name from ‘The Mixtape Party,’ to the more exciting and creative ‘Mixtape Blend.’

    “Johnnie Walker is a celebratory brand that applauds progress. This explains why the Mixtape Blend is befitting of our support. Besides DJ Slick Stuart being part of the Walkers family, we are here to recognise the great strides they have made with his partner DJ Roja in their deejaying career. Johnnie Walker is proud to be a partner in celebrating Uganda’s biggest DJ duo,” said Christine Kyokunda, the Johnnie Walker Uganda Brand Manager.

    Kyokunda also highlighted that Johnnie Walker intends to deliver much more beyond the financial boost into the Mixtape Blend.

We intend to go all out and give everyone that will be part of the Mixtape Blend a memorable whisky experience.     DJ Slick Stuart and Roja are Ugandan Disc Jockeys and producers, who teamed up and became a duo a few years back. They have laid the foundation for the evolution of the deejaying industry in Uganda, with an unmistakable style, and an unforgettable turntable flair.

    Their domination of the sound tastes has seen them blend to become the most sought-after DJs, in bars, nightclubs, at events, as well as television and radio stations.

    A few days ago, the duo announced that celebrated South African DJ Felo Le Tee, of the “Dipatje Tsa Felo” fame, will be playing at the Mixtape Blend this Thursday.

    The 2022 Mixtape Blend will be the eighth annual event by the duo, and it is anticipated to be the biggest in their career.

    On Thursday November 3, all roads lead to the eighth edition of the DJ Roja & Slick Stuart annual Mixtape Blend presented by Johnnie Walker.

    The pair officially announced that they will be live at the Kampala Serena Hotel, to give their fans an experience to remember.

    And the latest on our desk, is that the duo will not just be lone performers at the event. Our attention has been drawn to the amazing line up of entertainer, as well as iconic whisky brand- Johnnie Walker’s offerings for the 2022 Mixtape Blend. We have it on good authority that the duo is set to fly in South African celebrated disc spinner- DJ Felo Le Tee, as the guest Dj for the Mixtape Blend.

    The Ciroc Pop Nights which have increasingly gained fame inthe face of Kampala’s night life will this Friday, 20th March,host the celebrated trio of Dj’s Roja, Slick Stuart and Allan Tonix as they treat fans to music and a special signature Ciroc cocktail dubbed Sunday and Romance.

    The trio which teamed up last year to create the flaming Sunday, a song that has continued to make rounds on the radio and Tv waves over six months down the road, will host this edition of the Ciroc Pop Nights at the luxurious Club  Guvnor.

    They are currently undergoing mixologist training by master class bartenders ahead of Friday.

    Allan Ampaire popularly known as Allan Tonix, has been in the music industry for more than a decade now with a number of songs to his name; Sunday and Romance being one of his recent hits, after Beera nange, That girl, Mulamwa and Tukyekole, just to mention but those.


    DJs Roja and Slick Stuart ushered in a new trend to ‘Deejaying’ by featuring artistes in their music. They have so far featured artistes such as King Saha in another hit, Very well, and Rema in More of this. Sunday featuring Tonix is undeniably their biggest collaboration so far.

    The duo; Roja and Slick Stuart, took it to their social media pages last week to promise their fans an extra-ordinary night.
