    Likambo Bahti Taylor hails the proposed new speaker Jacob Oboth Oboth

    Kiryandongo District NRM senior cadre and mobiliser, Hon. Likambo Bahti Taylor, has hailed the idea of changing the Parliamentary leadership with the NRM Government like to front Hon. Jacob Marksons Oboth Oboth for the Speakership.

    He said the move to change 12th Parliament leadership with Hon. Oboth Oboth at the helm is a great one which will likely eliminate corruption from the August house.

    The former Speaker Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, her leadership Deputy Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa and their 11th Parliament leadership are under scrutiny after pending corruption scandal in the house with investigations underway. With the two out of the picture for the 12th Parliament leadership, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is said to have endorsed Hon. Jacob Marksons Oboth Oboth for the speakership, a move that has been positively welcomed all over.

    Likambo said the new leadership likely to be under Hon. Jacob Marksons Oboth Oboth will eliminate corruption from the house.

    “With Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba firmly glued on fighting corruption, we welcome the move with open arms and hopes to clean the country of corruption,” Likambo Bahti Taylor said.

    Masaka City Woman MP elect, Hon. Justine Nameere Nsubuuga, has told off Hon. Daudi Kabanda and asked him to stop intimidating the public over state of 12th Parliament leadership regarding RT. Hon. Anita Annet Among and her Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa.

    “Give this message to Kabanda! He should stop intimidating us. We shall not accept black mail on our Speaker and Deputy Speaker! He has black mailed MPs enough using Gen MK’s name, now he is black mailing the Speaker,” Hon. Justine Nameere Nsubuuga said.

    Yesterday Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) though Daudi Kabanda released a statement withdrawing their support of Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among and Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa for the leadership of the new 12th Parliament whose term has started today.

    The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Hon. Daudi Kabanda has said Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba doesn’t tolerate or support corruption at all just like most of them in the PLU.

    While appearing on NBS Television, Kabanda said Gen. Muhoozi would also want these Commissioners to explain the service award.

    “Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba doesn’t support corruption; like most of us, he would also want these commissioners to explain the service award,” Hon.Daudi Kabanda said.

    In related news, Hon. Daudi Kabanda said PLU will win majority of the positions in the next general elections.
