    Rwandan music sensation Element Eleeeh has arrived in Kampala to headline the highly anticipated Comedy Store Eid show at Lugogo UMA Show grounds tonight.

    The event promises a star-studded lineup of Uganda’s top musicians and comedians, making it one of the biggest entertainment highlights of the Eid celebrations.

    Element Eleeeh, a celebrated Rwandan producer and performer, is known for his energetic stage presence and hit songs that blend Afrobeat, R&B, and traditional Rwandan rhythms.

    Uganda’s biggest names will join Element Eleeeh on stage include Sheebah Karungi, Rema Namakula, King Saha, Hajji Haruna Mubiru , Maddox Ssematimba, Mesach Semakula, Laika Music, Kapeke, Myco Puma, Amatali groups.

    The night won’t just be about music—it will also showcase Uganda’s finest comedians like Madrat & Chiko , MC Mariachi, Amooti Omubalanguzi.

    Element Eleeeh revealed that he is excited to be performing in Uganda and he can’t wait to give his fans the best.

    As Eid Day draws closer after a run of weeks of Fasting, Comedy Store is already set to welcome back the Muslim Community from the prestigious Holy Fasting Month this March 2026 ,with a grand showcase that promises laughter, music and star power in equal measure. The popular Comedy night experience has once again cemented its place as Kampala’s go to midweek entertainment spot, delivering colourful nights packed with comedy and live performances.

    Element Eleeh, Sheebah Karungi, Rema Namakula,King Saha, Hajji Haruna Mubiru, Maddox, Mesach Semakula, Laika Music,Kapeke, Myco Puma, Amatali groups are set to entertain revelers on EiD Day, bringing together some of Uganda’s biggest performers.

    The night will also feature some of the finest talents from the comedy industry, including Madrat & Chiko, MC Mariachi, Amooti Omubalanguzi, Maulana and Reign, Sammie and Shawa, Raj Kabeja, Merry Heart Comedians, Shequin & Eva,Bobi Brown and Nilo Nilo, Bizonto, alongside other surprise acts lined up to keep the audience laughing throughout the evening.

    With gates opening at 6PM, the Comedy Store show Hosted by Alex Muhangi, Kalela Daniel is expected to attract a large turnout as Kampala revellers gather for Eid Day celebrations in the City at UMA Showgrounds, Lugogo, Kampala.

    With successful editions Every Week, the best comedy night in the land, Comedy Store UG, is set to Hold a Valentine’s Special this Wednesday 11th February 2026.

    The night will feature singers; John Blaq, Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine, Levixone, Betty Mpologoma as performers accompanied by the usual Top and Talented comedians like, MC Mariachi, Madrat & Chiko, Maulana & Reign, Mickey Seems 2 Funny, Sammie & Shawa, Mikey Seems, Shequin & Eva, Merry Heart Comedians among other Surprise Acts.

    According to Comedy Store CEO Alex Muhangi, gates will open at 6PM at UMA Show Grounds Lugogo.

    This is where they will be performing from every Wednesday starting from next week on 12th June. Comedy Store which features a number of comedians and musicians is hosted by Alex Muhangi.

    Rwandan singer, The Ben will be performing live in Kampala at UMA showgrounds Lugogo on Valentine’s Day 14th February 2024. Benjamin Mugisha alias The Ben, who is singer-songwriter will perform at the Comedy Store Valentine’s Day event, a day celebrated widely across Uganda.

    Hilarity Unleashed: Comedy Store Uganda Sets the Stage for the Much-Anticipated Comedy Store Awards 2023

    Comedy Store Uganda announced the 2023 edition of the Comedy Store Awards, which seek to reward the most outstanding comedians as well as the funniest personalities in 2023.

    The Comedy Store Awards were first held on December 19, 2019, This year, the awards ceremony will be held during Comedy Store’s end-of-year show on 20th December at the UMA multipurpose hall in Lugogo.

    Uganda’s comedy industry has made significant strides over the years owing to the ever-growing pool of comics and the diversity in talent.

    “Comedy is an art and it is tough work. It takes a certain level of ingenuity to turn otherwise normal, sad or even sensitive issues and turn them into things that crack people up. At a time when the audience is increasingly getting edgy on what they consider funny, and comedy undergoing a lot of scrutiny, appreciating the work that goes into the art becomes important,” said Alex Muhangi, the CEO of Comedy Store Uganda.

    Ordinary people with funny personalities, including socialites, politicians, TikTokers, and social media figures will also be rewarded.

    The public will nominate their favorites through all the Comedy Store Uganda social media platforms. The awards panel will then shortlist those with the most nominations. Voting will also be done through the same platforms.

    This year’s awards build up on the success of the inaugural 2019 edition during which MC Mariachi was named Best Comedian.

    Comedy Store to host first ever Miss Uganda Canada pageant

    With the promising partners on board, the first ever Miss Uganda- Canada beauty pageant is anticipated to be one of the events to watch out for on next year’s events calendar.

    The latest partner to join the pageant is celebrated comedian Alex Muhangi the brain behind Uganda’s biggest weekly comedy shows.

    Muhangi has put pen to paper as one of the partners/ sponsors of the debut Miss Uganda- Canada beauty pageant slated for next year in June.

    Comedy Store Uganda becomes the second Ugandan entity to partner with the Miss Uganda Canada organisers, after Paris based fashion designer Stella Atal committed to sponsor the event.

    During a live Instagram interview on the Miss Uganda Canada Initiative page, Alex Muhangi, the Comedy Store CEO, confirmed that he will be hosting the Miss Uganda Canada beauty pageant next year.

    Muhangi also confirmed that he will manage the entire entertainment aspect of the pageant.

    “It’s official, I am the talent manager/ liaison for Gisha Production Inc, the mother company of The Miss Uganda Canada Initiative. I am charged with identifying the right talent for the event. This partnership will also go beyond the event and help create avenues that will help promote Ugandan talents in Canada,” stated Muhangi.

    Bettina Tumuhaise, the Brand and Marketing Manager for the Miss Uganda Canada Initiative, said the partnership with Comedy Store Uganda is an assurance that the event will have a proper Ugandan entertainment touch.

    “Our wish was for us to have a pageant that is almost 100% Ugandan, and our partnership with Comedy Store is a sure way of achieving our desire. We’re very excited that Muhangi accepted to host the event and we can’t wait to unveil the line-up of entertainers for the event,” she said.

    On the other hand, the Miss Uganda- Canada Initiative, will host the Founder and Director of Miss Uganda-UK, Mrs Jacqueline Dumbalive on their Instagram page tomorrow (Saturday October 23, 2020) at 12pm Canadian time (7pm Ugandan time).
