I have offered a little support to the family and i will continue providing necessary support to them. Bosco was looking after his three children, a wife and his mother in law. Bryan met the family to see how he can help them to start up something that would sustain them now that their bread winner is no more.
“Today morning, I met the family of our brother who lost his life in the struggle of rescuing our fellow brothers and sisters from boat that capsized on Lake Victoria. This young man had a family of five that included three children, his wife and the wife’s mother. I will be meeting with the rest of the family today to see how I can help and empower them. RIP to the fallen Hero,” Bryan White said.

At least 33 people are now known to have died after a cruise boat carrying party revellers capsized on Lake Victoria on Saturday.
The vessel was carrying close to 100 people when it sank on near Mutima Island in Mukono. Bryan White is at the scene of the tragedy doing humanitarian work.

Uganda Police Force (UPF) has lauded the joint effort Brian Kirumira aka Bryan White of Bryan White Foundation put in to help security agencies and locals in the aftermath of MV Templar Boat tragedy which has so far claimed 33 people with others still uncounted for.

In a statement released by Uganda Police, they praised Bryan White, Hajji Matovu Yusuf aka YOUMA, Ministry of Works, district leadership, local council chairman, Uganda Railways, Mango tree ship, Ministries and other government agencies.

“In today’s world of the unknown, it is not easy for any government department or agency to provide solutions alone. It takes a multi sectoral approach to provide solutions. This explains why we have all government agencies, civil society groups and local community to respond to this incident.

Therefore, following different attempts to pull the boat wreckage out of the water, a joint team of Uganda Police and UPDF Marine teams, the Ministry of Works with the help of MV Kalangala today successfully pulled the boat wreckage from underneath the water. Strategies are now being laid to tow the boat wreckage to the mainland.

The teams are still doing their best to recover uncounted missing persons who include;
Kakooza Peter of Masaka, Namutebi Sylvia of Nakisunga and Musisi Godfrey of Kabalagala, Ssenyonga Andrew of Kireka and also recover property trapped under the wreckage.

We want to thank the local community/Wanainchi (the first responders) management of Mutima beach, Police and UPDF Marines and the civil society.

Special thanks also go to Mr Kirumira Brian aka Bryan White of the Bryan White Foundation, Hajji Yusuf Matovu aka YOUMA, Ministry of Works, district leadership, local council chairman, Uganda Railways, Mango tree ship, ministries and other government agencies.

We also in a special way want to thank the His Excellence, the President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his strategic guidance.

We wish to make a special appeal to all people who use water transport to respect and adhere to the safety precautions more so the use of life jackets”.
