    Anita Beryl heads to Kigali for the East Africa Wedding Show

    She has, over the years, cemented her place as a leading couturier and bridal wear designer in Uganda. And now the Ugandan born award winning designer is taking her craft south to Kigali this weekend. Anita Beryl, through her fashion brand, Beryl Qouture by Anita Beryl will be joining a lineup of other African designers at the East Africa Wedding Show taking place this Friday in Kigali.

    The two day event will be taking place from the 8th to 10th February, 2019 at the Kigali Convention Centre. The show will feature fashion showcases from various bridal wear designers and exhibitions by wedding vendors from cross the continent and the world over.

    Uganda’s Anita Beryl will be showcasing alongside Nigeria’s Mai Atafo, Ogake Mosomi Kenya’s, Rwanda’s Germaine Mwananawe and Kay Weddings.

    “This is one of those invitations I am very happy to honor, mostly because for a long time, 20% of my brides have come all the way from Rwanda to get their wedding dresses from Beryl Qouture. So it is such an honour and a pleasure for me to be able to bring my services even closer to them I truly look forward to being a part of the show,” Anita explains.

    Star designer Anita Beryl makes her return to the ASFAs

    She put up a remarkable and memorable show with her couture collection at the ASFAs 2016. And now the multi award winning Ugandan designer and couturier will be making her return to the ASFAs at this year’s edition in what is slated to be her biggest fashion showcase ever!

    Anita Beryl, who is also a nominee for the Ugandan Fashion Designer of the Year at the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (ASFAs) is one of three Ugandan designers who will be showcasing at the 7th December event.

    Her 27 pieces collection will be showcased alongside the likes David Tlale from South Africa, Mai Atafo from Nigeria and Maxhosa from South Africa. Anita, through her fashion brand, Beryl Qouture by Anita Beryl is known for her show stopping couture pieces and this particular collection will surely be one to look out for.

    “I’m thrilled to be a part of the showcasing lineup for this year. The ASFAs are a great platform that’s transforming the fashion scene not only in Uganda but across the entire continent. And I feel honoured to be a part of this beautiful lineup of fashion greats,” Anita says.

    The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards are taking place on Friday December 7th, 2018 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

    Anita Beryl & team reach out to Remnant Generation Home on Mother’s day

    The Beryl Qouture decided to spend the mother’s over the weekend with mothers at Remnant Generation Home to share with their experience with the mothers at the home in Busega.

    The Beryl Qouture by Anita Beryl team was led by their Managing and Creative Director, Anita Beryl. They spent Mother’s Day at the Remnant Generation Home.

    “We were fortunate enough to spend the day with this group of young, strong and brave young girls, led by their Executive Director, Mrs. Annabelle Nakabiri Ssebakijje,” Anita said.

    The Remnant Generation, located in Busega, is a Christian based, youth led organization with a mission of empowering young people with information, knowledge and skills to enable them make life-affirming and healthy choices. Through organized outreaches, community engagement projects, counselling and recovery programs, skills training and capacity building programs, the Remnant Generation aims to restore hope and dignified living to young girls.

    The facility is home to over12 mothers, many of whom are victims of sexual abuse, and the home offers them rehabilitation, mother and child care, family reintegration, and education access.
