    Popularly known as Sharne Natukunda or Sherne Natukunda, this year has confirmed her hard work.
    Sharon Natukunda is the Female Fashionista of the Year – Uganda 2022 according to ASFAs.
    Sharne could not hide her tears of joy as she received the award and the audience was truly behind her.

    The CEO of Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) Ahumuza Brian has wrote an appreciation message after his successful awards a week ago. Below is his full statement;
     It always takes me one week to process the just concluded Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards, and even now, I still haven’t wrapped my head completely around it.
    Putting together an event of this magnitude after the pandemic is an actual milestone for me, but guys, we just did!!!
    I am beyond proud, honoured and thankful for everyone that made a contribution to this show. When I say everyone, I mean from the security, service providers, partners, sponsors, performers, showcasers, nominees, interns, the media, and the general public that bought tickets.
    Coming back this year has taught me a lot, especially from an industry where I thought I knew the most. But coincidentally, this years theme “The Awakening” is all about self actualization. The will to look deep inside and find the essence for who we are, and then using that to trumph over everything else. This years show required me and my team to do exactly that, most likely as lifes way of emphasizing our comprehension of the theme.
    “The Awakening” is all also about community, focusing what unites us, and not what divides us because this legacy is not just for me, it is for us as an industry, for us as a nation, us as a continent, us as Africans, as black people, and as a humanity.
    As my friend Moses Moshions always says, “It takes a village”, and I am a lucky man to have all of you in this village☺️. What we just did was a launch into the future, Africa’s biggest Award show (ASFAs 2023) will be a teleport, an actual mystic existence. Its the year we leave a mark on the globe and step out as an awakened unit that has come together. And only God can stop that, but he wont😌!

    ASFAs returns, set to host Fashion Weekend ahead of mega Awards ceremony

    The Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards is set to host Fashion Weekend on 11th, 12th and 13th November at MoTIV in Kampala from 9:00am.to 6:00pm.
    The awards are well-known globally for the role it plays in advocacy
    and convening dialogues around social issues about the Business of Fashion in Africa and its sustainability.
    This is usually achieved through the use of Workshops, High-Profiled Speakers
    and Summits around fashion in Africa.
    Coming back after 2 years, ASFAs presents a 3-day Fashion Weekend. The event will  reflect on how the fashion industry has gone through many changes in the last years.
    We saw big brands with a lot of resources struggling to navigate this new normal, and thought; how much harder can it be for local, small and medium enterprises?
    “To be a young designer navigating the markets, especially after the pandemic is not easy. This fashion weekend is a platform for young creatives who seek for futuristic opportunities to
    collaborate and amplify their brands, or simply better understand the markets” said Brian Ahumuza, the CEO of Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards.
    This year the ASFA’s contributes to the sustainability of local brands through the ASFA Fashion weekend. Every year is kicked off with a diverse theme that becomes an imperative element to the main show. This year, the launch comes back with a 3-day event, the “ASFA
    FASHION WEEKEND” under the theme “The Awakening”.
    The ASFA Fashion Weekend
    will take place on the 11th, 12th and 13th of November 2022 at MoTIV.

    Through this Fashion Weekend, the first day will see business owners, artists and all fashion creatives exhibiting their work, while engaging in dialogues with fellow creatives and fostering
    collaborations. The second day will be a workshop where fashion influencers and business  thought leaders will give keynote presentations.
    A panel of experts will engage the audience in discussions, testimonials, Q&A sessions inspiring them to take on global markets. The third day will be the announcement of nominees for the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards
    happening on 16th December at Kampala Serena Hotel.

    Fashion icon Ahumuza Brian aka Abryanz was in high spirits as he hosted a number of celebrities at Middle East Restaurant Bukoto on Thursday to appreciate them for their support and also celebrate his birthday.
    The Abryanz Collection boss hosted about 20 celebrities to also celebrate 10 years in business.
    It was strictly an all invite event and for celebrities only.
    At the luncheon, he appreciated them for supporting Abryanz Collection Fashion business for the last 10 years. He also used the same occasion to celebrate his birthday.
    Although almost all celebrities support him, he invited after due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings.
    It was glam and glitz as celebrities parted and enjoyed with the fashion guru.

    ASFAs 2019 voting portal opens to public

    As the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) draw closer, voting has officially been opened for the public to engage and be a part of the process of selecting winners of the Ciroc-sponsored glamour event.

    With exactly a month to the event, the public is now able to vote using the ASFAs website for the nominees for a chance to take home the outstanding fashionable awards.


    The “Nominee Voting” process     officially opened to the general public yesterday November 11, and closes on the 10th December 2019.

    The ASFA committee has also made it clear that the voting process will be a balanced process between the public and a panel. The public shall account for 30% while the ASFA panel shall account for 70% of the final verdict.

    The awards ceremony is slated to take place on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the prestigious Serena Hotel in Kampalawith many noteworthy celebrities, socialites and highly admired fashion stakeholders such as British fashion designer OzwaldBoateng, JoramMuzira, Debbie Kagisha, Santa Anzo among many others set to grace the event.

    Africa’s outstanding fashion icons were on Friday treated to an evening of glitz and glam as the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) 2017 were held at the Kampala Serena Hotel to recognise the continent’s finest in all things style and fashion.

    The fifth edition of the awards, themed ”African Fashion is the Future #FashionTakeover” were exactly that: the biggest ever convergence of African fashion’s big hitters, ranging from South African fashion king David Tlale to the outstanding Nigerian designer Mai Atafo who was also honoured with the Style Icon Award and Tanzania’s Sheria Ngowi who took home the African designer of the year trophy.

    The event organisers had already served notice of their intent to turn things up a notch higher by getting Tlale on board as the producer of the show. The outcome was a world-class display that wowed all and further enhanced the ASFAs’ reputation as the country’s most glamorous fashion event.

    This year the event had a touch or royalty, with the Nnabagerekka of Buganda, Sylvia Nagginda gracing the event.

    The Ciroc-sponsored event was an evening of breath-taking design works and spellbinding musical performances. South African duo Mafikizolo, turned the heat up serving hit after hit, crowning the night with their latest release Love Potion that also bagged them the Most Stylish Video of The Year accolade.

    Nonetheless the awards still paid homage to local talent with performances from Ugandan artistes including Desire Luzinda, Nutty Neithan, Fik Fameica and Latinum, among others.

    On the local fashion front, Sheeba Kassami (SKP), Monica Kansiime and Alecool Clothing (who bagged the Most Stylish Ugandan celebrity trophy) showcased their creations.

    And, perhaps in tune with taking everything a notch higher, this year’s event had winners in 34 different categories, up from the 25 last year.

    On a night dominated by glorious performances by artistes on the catwalk and the mic, Cîroc Brand Ambassador for Uganda Brian Ahumuza, who launched the ASFAs in 2013, said ensuring fashion made business sense was the next step.

    “This year’s theme, “African Fashion is the Future #FashionTakeover” sought to highlight the entrepreneurial success of the African fashion industry and hopefully translate into the business of fashion,” he said. “Today’s event is an important step in that direction”.

    Meanwhile the UBL Reserve and IPS Manager Roger Agamba said: “Cîroc is proud of its association with ASFAs and fashion as a whole in Uganda and indeed Africa. I believe it makes great business sense for everyone involved in the industry and the growth of the ASFAs is an indication that things can only get better.

    “Our pledge is to continue to support and celebrate fashion because there couldn’t be a more perfect partner than Cîroc, which is the ultimate celebration drink.”

    “On Friday, the 2017 ASFA accomplished their main goal which was to bring together Africans of all walks of life in one place with the purpose of celebrating Africa’s outstanding fashion. I would first of all like to thank the Lord for blessing the event with his grace.

    A heartfelt thanks goes out to all the guests that showed up, putting in the time and effort to make a statement at the red carpet with jaw-dropping gowns and suits. Thank you for sticking it out till the very end of the show despite the gruesome time of closing.     Tycoon Jack Pemba under his label Pemba Sports Africa, SKP Fashions, Pemba Gas and has handed over Shs 100m in cash a sponsorship for the 2017 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFA) slated for the 8th December 2017 at Kampala Serena Hotel.

    Pemba handed over the money to the awards proprietor Ahumuza Brian last evening at Victoria Gallery Kampala Serena Hotel during a Press Conference. While handing over the money, Jack Pemba praised Brian for being a hard working young man and called on the general public to keeping supporting him. “Brian has put Uganda on the world map through fashion, he needs our support because with such people like him, the fashion industry will be a force to reckon with,” Pemba said.

    Pemba also praised the people of Uganda for being loyal and supportive and prayed to God to bless President Yoweri Museveni and the people of Uganda.

    Pemba promised to keep supporting Fashion, Sports and Tourism in Uganda. He also used the occasion to unveil his and wife Sheba Kassami’s Clothing Line S.K Pemba Fashions.

    City fashionista Ahumuza Brian aka Abryanz has been appointed brand ambassador of Ciroc Uganda. His appointment was confirmed over the weekend by Ciroc. Brian is charged with promoting the brand in Uganda and to make sure that its market gets stable. He is also charged with taking good care of the brand which is owned by renowned rapper and singer Sean Combs aka P Diddy.
