Popularise our Tourism Industry, says Kadaga as Busoga unveils new tourism sites

Normal business came to a standstill yesterday as the 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs Uganda Rt. Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga spent the day in Mayuge District on a guided tourism tour where she launched tourism sites in Busoga Region.

Among the new sites are Isenda and Busiira among others. The highly praised and loved “Maama” in the Busoga region was accompanied by a voluntarily long motorcade of supporters, sons, and daughters from far and within the region.

The Busoga Tourism Sites launch marathon had its final step at Bugade primary school grounds where an eagerly mammoth crowd that came from the Mayuge district and surrounding areas had gathered waiting for their role model, mother, and mentor to welcome her.

Before addressing the gathering, Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga awarded winning sports teams that had engaged in competitions earlier in the afternoon with prizes and medals.

The influential Minister for Tourism and Heritage in Busoga Kingdom Hon. Hellen Olg Namutamba accompanied Hon. Kadaga.
