Equity Bank Uganda staff were on Saturday treated to lots of fun and games at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole as they exhibited their sports skills during the Equity Bank Sports Gala.

The Bank’s Executive Director Anthony Kituuka flagged off the games that started with an aerobics session before the different teams dug into football, netball, volleyball, race walking, racing and tug-of-war.

Eazzy Banking emerged overall winner, beating Eazzy Loans, Eazzy Save, Eazzy Club and Eazzy Biz which were the other participating teams inclusive of members from all Equity Bank branches countrywide.

“The Bank has been up to so much in the last six months. We had reason to celebrate achieved goals and take a small play break, hence the sports gala”, explained Phillip Otim, Communications Manager. He added that staff needed these activities not only as physical exercises but also as competitive team building avenues.
