Forget about Hollywood celebrities and footballers mansions, our very own Minister Hon. David Bahati has that in the hills of Kigezi, Kabale district.
The State Minister for Finance in charge Planning village’s home is surely beautiful and posh.
And oh my God!! its heaven on earth and from the outlook of the house, one may confuse it with one of American superstars houses, but no, it’s a private residence for hardworking Bahati, double orphaned at the age of just 3.
It is expensive, spacious, it is presidential, it is posh and definitely the most luxurious mansion in Kigezi region.
It sits on an entire acre of land surrounded with tall trees.
The house valued in billions is located in Kakomo, Mwendo Parish in Kitumba Subocounty of Ndorwa West constituency which Bahati represents in 10th Parliament.
Apart from the residence valued in billions of cash, Bahati also owns what was previously government land in Kabale town called Yard—that stretches for four acres.
Bahati has been a minister since 1 March 2015.
He is a member of the National Resistance Movement, the ruling party. He is chief of the Scout Board of Uganda.
Bahati came to international attention in October 2009 after introducing the Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Bill as a Private Member’s Bill on 13 October proposing that a new offence be created in Uganda named “aggravated homosexuality” which would be punishable as a capital offence.
The bill was signed into law by the President of Uganda on 24 February 2014.
