Partners join together to seek Housing solutions in the sector
The Chairman Parliamentary Forum on Housing and Rukiga County MP Hon Roland Ndyomugyenyi Bish joined other stakeholders from the government, Private sector, Development partners, Civil society and the public for the #UgHousingSymposium to discuss the status of Uganda’s housing sector and possible solutions to address the challenge.
The symposium was held Under the theme “Affordable housing in Urban Informal Settlements as a Driver for Economic Growth”.
The event was organised by Habitat for Humanity in partnership with the Ministry of Lands.
Hon. Roland told this website the event highlighted the need for financial institutions to innovate practical and affordable financing products tailored for specific economic groups of customers.
Habitat For Uganda which initiated the Home Equals Campaign also gave birth to the Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Housing and under the campaign, they are also planning the ‘Integrated Basic Services Project in Kamwokya’.
