The race for who to be in the 12th Parliament is heating up as more and more people are declaring their intentions on daily basis. Today we bring you Part IV of the candidates who want to contest in 2026.
Richard Barungi
City senior counsel is set to tussle it out for Ruhaama County constituency in Ntungamo District. He is already doing ground work to cement his support in the area.
He is a famous lawyer well connected and therefore Ruhaama people you have gold in your hands.
Ikiror Kevin
She is set to contest for Kumi District Woman MP. She is in for Economic Transformation, development and indiscriminate leadership.
Constant Mukembo
He wants to contest for Parliamentary seat in 12th Parliament for Buzaaya Constituency in Kamuli District.
He is on the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket.
Anguyo Denis
He is planning to contest for Ayivu West County in Arua City come 2026 on NRM ticket.
He says he is the only solution to wipe away the shame in Ayivu West. Watch the space!
Anguyo Godfrey
He intends to contest as MP for Ayivu Division East constituency in Arua city come 2026.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration MUK -Accounting and Masters of Business Administration MUK Accounting/Finance as well as Certificate in Education KYU.
In leadership, he is the City Councilor Ayivu Division North-Arua City (Manibe/Aroi), National delegate Reproductive Health Uganda- West Nile region, National Executive Committee RHU, Chairman Audit and Risk.RHU, Guild Prime Minister MUBS and Guild President Arua Core PTC.
He previously worked as a Lecturer, Finance and Administration Officer- Infectious Diseases Institute West Nile and a Teacher at Bright Horizon School. He is all set for the 2026 and 12th Parliament.
Mungo Patrick
This Youthful man is set to contest for Elgon North constituency in Bulambuli District. The young man looks so serious.
David Muwonge Galusanje
All is set for Muwonge to tussle it out for Mawogola South as a Member of Parliament come 2026. He says his major focus will be on the development of the road network, improvement of the poor schools and development of new ones, Health and the girl child development.
He also wants to emphasize linking Mawogola South to the rest of the Country and the world using his rich Political background.
Christopher Sserwadda
We are told that Hon. Medard Ssegona is having sleepless nights after hearing that Chris is coming for Busiro East seat in the 12th Parliament.
He says he is ready to serve the people of Busiro East, Wakiso District more than enough as well as Buganda Kingdom “kubanga lino saaza lya Ssabasajja Kabaka “. He is a true member of NUP party.
Atocon Calvin
He is set to contest for Ochero County in Kaberamaido District on Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) party ticket.
“Let us rebuild Ochero Together”, he says. He is the voice of the common person.
Ogola Jonathan (Eboko Ye’bugwe)
He is vying for the Member of Parliament representing the people of Samia Bugwe North constituency in Busia District. And being a resident of Busitema Sub County, he is already doing great work for Samia Bugwe North. He is an Economist by profession & a member of National Unity Platform (NUP) and he is hoping to contest on NUP ticket.
He is the founder of an NGO called Smile Foundation Uganda (SFU) which specializes in providing support to less privileged learners with scholastic materials & some fees.
SFU also fights for the rights of the humans at all levels. He is already on the ground consulting & mobilizing for support.
Hon. Kwiyucwiny Grace Freedom
The former state Minister for Northern Uganda is bouncing back as a contestant for Ora County MP seat in Zombie District come 2026. She is all set for the battle.
Wabweni Moses
He is set to contest the MP Lutseshe Constituency in Bududa District. He previously contested for District councilor 2021 and he is again in full swing in 2026 to restore the lost glory.
He is the leader with a mindset to positively change both budget and opinions.
Kongo Andrew
He has announced his plans to contest for Bubulo West County constituency in Manafwa District come 2026-2031 on NUP party ticket. Andrew has already laid his plans to take the hot seat.
