Part II: Unveiling more personalities set to stand for 2026 Parliamentary Elections
In our political series, we continue to profile for you more candidates who have showed interest in 2026 Parliamentary Elections. They want to go to 12th Parliament;
Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye
The former Minister and Sheema North Member of Parliament is still capable of doing more.
He is coming in for Sheema Municipality MP. He said he is ready to serve his people once again.
Dr . Efumbi David Maloba
He is a born of Busia. He has set eyes for the MP seat of Samia Bugwe North constituency in 2026. He has put it on a Frontline as his already making consultations.
Mr. David Maloba is the former GRC contestant at Fort Portal College of Health Sciences and President Free Uganda Clinical Officers Association students who have been in struggle for the betterment of medical Clinical officers in Uganda and good health delivery to everyone in Uganda as he is based at regional referral hospitals of Fort Portal and Mbale. He is also the incharge of Mukisa Nursing Home in Kibuye, Kampala.
Pius Egang Eride
He is set to tussle it out for Ochero County seat and is already unleashing his potential through service delivery. Mr. Pius Egangu Eride has hit the ground running as he has set his sights on becoming the next Member of Parliament (MP) for Ochero County in Kaberamaido District in 2026.
As part of his strategy to be elected, Mr Pius is already doing wonders in the constituency.
Ochero County has four sub counties with four health center 111s and in each of the health center, he has provided them with an ambulance per health center and on top of that he bought 1000 chairs and tents that can accommodate 1000 chairs and public address systems in each and every sub county.
The voters are already excited by his willingness to bring services nearer to the people.
“I am vying for member of Parliament in the 12th Parliament representing my good people of Ochero County in Kaberamaido District come 2026. I therefore intend to win the election come 2026 and continue doing good work for my people,” Pius said.
Mudhungu Kalimu
He is set to contest for Kamuli Municipality MP seat 2026.
Mr. Kamuli holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration from
University of IUIU KC. He is also former Guild Prime Minister from 2019-2020. He is also former vice president -NRM University Chapter and has certificate in Leadership (National leadership Institute Kyakwanzi) and subscribes to NRM Party.
Kalimu says the reason he wants to join 12th Parliament is to eradicate poverty among the people of Kamuli and Reducing unemployment among the youth.
Lugojja Franco
He is a businessman dealing in exporting Motor vehicles from Dubai to Uganda.
He is going to contest for Member of Parliament for Kabweri county in Kibuku District.
Ayo Emmanuel
This Youthful young man is eyeing Northern Region Youth MP seat come 2026. He says he is ready to serve the youth without fear or favour.
Wadambisha Nathan Dickson
It’s getting fired up in Gogonyo County in Pallisa District as Dickson has announced his intentions to take the seat in the 12th Parliament. He has already started his ground work to gather support for his 2026 cause.
