Part 1: Unveiling individuals who are vying for 2026 Parliamentary seats

As 2026 draws near, different individuals have already set up plans to contest for their respective home constituencies.

Today we bring you the first batch of personalities looking forward to take the hot seats in the 12th Parliament. Here they are;

Steven Eric Keddi Zuluba
Business Mogul and proprietor of Keddi Foundation is set to contest for Butebo Constituency in Pallisa District. This humanitarian oriented businessman has been instrumental in serving humanity in the last two years.

He has supported a lot of developmental projects in Butebo as well as donating an ambulance, supporting education and agriculture. He has set his sights on serving humanity both financially, and politically.

Frank Mwesigye
He calls himself the milk vendor and has publically showed his desire to represent Kabula County in Parliament come 2026.

Mr. Frank looks so ready to take on the challenge. Kabula County is in Lyantonde District.

Charity Kibaaju Kamuhanda
Kampala top hustler and beautiful Charity Kibaaju is not staying behind. She is coming in for Mbarara City Woman MP.

She calls herself the star (Enyonyozi) of Mbarara. She has already started mobilisation for the hot contest.

Lauben Matsiko Muhumuza
This former journalist has always had a dream of joining politics. From his days at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mr. Lauben Matsiko has always participated in activities related to politics.

He is coming in for Kajara County seat in Ntungamo District.

Denis Olyeko Oryema
The Kampala real estate guru has also decided to join politics and wants to represent the people of Padyere County in Nebbi District.

After exploring Real Estates business in Kampala, USA and Dubai, Mr. Olyeko now wants to try politics. He is ready on the ground doing some good stuff in the constituency.

Jimmy Lukwago aka Kira Young
After failing to uproot Hon.Ssemujju Nganda in 2021, Mr. Jimmy is this time round determined to take over Kira Municipality Parliamentary seat come 2026.

He has been doing a lot of work on the ground reaching out to people especially in Sports, education and religion and when time for campaigns comes, it won’t be difficult for him.

Jacklet Atuhaire Rwabukurukuru
She is the former Woman MP for Sheema District and she wants to reclaim the seat.

Jacklet who is now a commissioner at Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) confirmed to us her come back. She said all is set!!

Gabriel Ajedra Gadson
The former MP and minister Hon. Gabriel Aridru Ajedra Gadson is coming back for Vurra Constituency in Arua District.

Mr Ajedra made the declaration earlier this month after officially marrying his long time lover Aisha Alibhai of NFA. Infact he has spent the biggest part of this month doing ground work in the constituency.

Daphine Rwakiiki
This patriotic, leader and business woman is coming in for Lyantonde District Woman MP.

She calls herself the future of Lyantonde District women. She is already laying the plan for 2026.

Didas Taboora
He is coming in for Sheema North in Sheema District. He is already geared up for the big task ahead. Didas is already on the ground doing mobilisation for the support.

Herbert Asiimwe Banyanga
He has set his sights on the Ruhinda South seat come 2026. Mr. Herbert confirmed to us that he has already laid ground work for this upcoming exercise. Ruhinda South is in Mitooma District.

Peter Paul Emaju
The people of Kasilo County in Serere District get ready for your son Paul. He is already set for 2016 Parliamentary seat in the 12th Parliament.

Jenerous Kyohairwe
She is coming in for Sheema District woman MP and the race is already tight with former MP Hon. Jacklet Atuhaire and incumbent Hon. Rosemary Nyakikongoro also in contention.
