Diddy was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex after word got out he allegedly assaulted a UCLA assistant football coach, Sal Alosi, with a kettebell during a dispute. Football fans may remember Alosi as the ex-New York Jets coach who was suspended for tripping a player during a 2010 game against the Miami Dolphins.

No one was seriously injured during the altercation which went down following a practice session. Once detained the hip hop star was hit with more charges, two more counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats, and one count of battery.

UCLA head coach Jim Mora issued a statement through the school, saying, “This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”

He is due in court on July 14.
