The finals will be on December 1st on World AIDS Day. Below is full statement from Ms Namutyaba Sylvia;
In my capacity as a youth leader for the National Unity Platform, I spend a significant amount of time interacting with young people. Upon sharing with them, I have observed that the majority have lost hope due to the prevailing situation in Uganda, resulting in a decrease in prioritizing their health. In collaboration with youth leaders from Kampala and Wakiso, we have invested the last four months in implementing intensive sensitization initiatives across the 16 constituencies in the region, leveraging recreational activities. It is heartening to see that our efforts have been met with enthusiasm by people across all age groups, who have actively participated in health check-ups and medical administration. I would like to express my gratitude to all medical personnel who have consistently responded to our requests for support. Yesterday, we held our quarterfinals for Youth Against HIV/AIDS and Stigma tournament in Kyaddondo East where Kampala Central, Busiro East, Makindye Ssabagabo, and Entebbe Municipality emerged as winners proceeding to the semifinals, scheduled to take place on World AIDS Day, in conjunction with the finals. The youth champions will receive a bull.
