Nile Environmental Marathon set for 23rd December

The Ministry of East African Community Affairs together with Action for life strategic organization have organized one day environmental conservation project code named Nile Environmental Marathon.

The event is slated for 23rd of December 2023 at Health First fitness Centre in Jinja City.

The purpose of this Run is to sensitize the community about the impact of protecting and preserving Nile River, given the fact that recreation facilities and residences have been elected on the river banks.

The chief runner will be Rt Hon. Dr. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East Africa Community Affairs.

“I call upon all Ugandans to join the cause of preserving River Nile,” Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga said.

Running kits are now available at Space Cafe Jinja and Noor’s Restaurant, Kingdom Kampala Mall at only UGX 25k.
