Miss Tourism Uganda Announces New Leadership for Regional Clusters
Amidst the anticipation surrounding this year’s Miss Tourism Uganda, the organizing committee has revealed significant changes in its administrative structure. In an official statement released by Miss Tourism Uganda, it was announced that several new cluster heads have been appointed to oversee regional operations.
Mrs. Kotina Akot, formerly the cluster head of Northern Uganda, has been succeeded by Gloria Alele, marking a shift in leadership dynamics within the organization. Additionally, Mrs. Atwongyeire, who previously held the position of cluster head for Kigezi, has been replaced by Zakia Lucky. The management emphasized that these new appointees will play crucial roles in supervising regional Miss Tourism events and preparing contestants for the national pageant, Miss Tourism Uganda.
The upcoming regional crowning events are scheduled to take place in Northern Uganda on June 29th at Lira Hotel and in the Rwenzori region on July 26th. Winners from each region will then vie for the coveted title of Miss Tourism Uganda at the grand finale, set to be held on September 13th at Kampala Serena Hotel. The ultimate victor will have the honor of representing Uganda at the esteemed Miss Tourism International pageant.
The reigning Miss Tourism Uganda, Nabukonde Kiyayi Ruokaya, was crowned in a dazzling ceremony last September at Kampala Serena Hotel, adding to the excitement surrounding this year’s event.
