Minister Lillian Aber commends IOM for doing a good job

The State Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees Hon. Lillian Aber has commended International Organization for Migration (IOM) for doing a good job.

She made the recommendation yesterday while visiting the IOM UN Migration Transit Center.

She lauded Mr. Romaric N’guessan, the IOM head for doing a good job they are undertaking to deepen collaboration with government in refugee and disaster response management.

“Today, I had an opportunity to visit the IOM UN Migration Transit center. I commend Mr. Romaric N’guessan, the I.O.M Head and his team for the good job they are undertaking as we deepen collaboration in refugee and disaster response,” Hon. Lillian Aber said after the visit.

In related development, Hon. Lillian Aber said she is deeply grateful to the EU team led by Ambassador Jan Sadek who paid a courtesy call on her at her office.

“We commit to engage and foster deeper relations with the European Union, a crucial partner to the Government of Uganda in humanitarian and development support,” Hon. Lillian Aber said.

Earlier in the week, Hon. Lillian Aber said she was privileged to officiate at the second season of the Makerere University Guild League alongside the gallant former Guild leaders.

“Meeting fellow leaders at this prestigious institution, known both at Continental and global levels, was truly an unforgettable experience. Football doesn’t transcend only sports, it symbolizes unity,” Hon. Lillian Aber said.
