Meet the little boys and girls from the kindergarten at SOS Children’s Village, Entebbe
SOS Children’s Villages Uganda is part of SOS Children’s Villages International; a non-governmental and non-denominational child-care organisation. SOS Uganda has over the last 25 years touched the lives of over 60,000 children.
Some of the kids under the care
Currently, the organisation, which operates in 4 locations in the country (Kakiri, Entebbe, Gulu and Fort Portal), takes care of 6,700 children; providing family based care, education and health services among others.
SOS Uganda also empowers families within the communities to become independent and autonomous so they can be in position to raise their children on their own thus preventing child-family separations.
Kids having some good times
Under its education initiative, SOS Uganda operates 7 high-quality, Hermann Gmeiner educational institutions – 4 kindergartens in Kakiri, Entebbe, Gulu and Fort Portal; 2 primary schools in Kakiri and Gulu and 1 secondary school in Kakiri. The schools host children from the SOS villages and the communities around them.
