NRM last had a grip on the position of Guild at Makerere University in 2005 with Robert Rutaro who was an exceptional leader. But since then, NRM has never made it to the guild ever again. But, Macxzzon is here to change the narrative.

Macxzzon speaking at one of his campaigns

When asked if he feels like he will make it with the recent wave of opposition going on, he had this to say. “ I do not feel. It’s true and should be noted with great concern that Iam going to win this race. We begun preparing for this race as early as 2018. We have invested a lot in mobilization and I can assure you NRM is going to come out strong because Iam a strong candidate. It’s not the party but rather the person behind it that delivers.”

He  continued to hint on a few issues that he has noticed over the years.
“If students have been voting opposition but strikes are the order of the day, marks frustrating almost everyone, poor strategies and unfulfilled promises, it’s at this point that I feel the potential of the guild has to be unlocked again to start influencing the public and interests of the students.” Under 28 schools and 10 colleges, His team has placed NRM structures and the Macxxon structure to aid in mobilizations unlike the previous candidates. This will help on individual follow up and self evaluation as a team.

He also added that once in office, he intends on fronting the interests of students, Restoring the glory and relevance of the guild presidency at Makerere University. He is here to sound the drum of new ideas and a fresh start whose echo shall linger for a life time. “Leo ni Leo”
