Kibale East County MP who also doubles as the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development Hon. Frank Tumwebaze has today met with Kamwenge District COVID-19 Taskforce and discussed the readiness of the district in the wake of the global pandemic.
The minister said health workers in the district are doing a great job. He donated through the District Health Officer (DHO), to the district health workers protective gear materials worth UGX 5.5m. The protective gear materials bought from Joint Medical Stores (JMS) include boxes of; gloves, detergents, masks, aprons & gum- boots for the frontline health workers.
“I met our Kamwenge District COVID-19 UG Taskforce today morning and we discussed the readnes of our district system and operations of our Hub at Rukunyu. The health workers are doing a great job. I donated through the District health officer (DHO), to our health workers protective gear materials worth shs 5.5m. The protective gear materials bought from Joint Medical Stores (JMS) include boxes of; gloves, detergents, masks, aprons & gum- boots for the frontline health workers. I also gave 250 litres of diseal to the emergency district health vehicles. I am happy that our pple are compliant and are taking this #COVID19UG fight seriously. Most if not all trading centres have washing facilities. Let’s pray God rewards our efforts,” Frank Tumwebaze said.
