Jinja Fish festival is back with a bang
After running a successful 1st edition of the Jinja Fish Festival with the support of GIZ in December 2018, the curator of the famous and growing fish Festival that takes place at Lake Victoria in Kampala, Jinja and Entebbe, has again taken it Eastwards to Jinja for the 2nd edition.
It will be held on a Sunday 1st December at Forever Resort which overlooks the source of the Nile Bridge, the fest will take the nature of a family day out than just an ordinary music party.
Being a weekend, parents will come along with their children to have an out of the ordinary afternoon.
From sustainable fisheries exhibition, to school & corporate quizzes, live band performances, cook-offs and fish tasting among other activities, spectators will have a lot to engage them.
The venue will be buzzed with activity as revellers stroll from end to end with singers like King Saha hit the stage overlooking the calm Waters of the River Nile.
But this isnt all the event is set to offer to the music lovers. More artists and comedians from both Jinja and Kampala are yet to be confirmed, we shall keep you posted as we draw nearer to the only Fisheries festival in the East African region.

Besides that for the music lovers, there is too much for conservationists and business communities as well. It will be a place to network and navigate through the possibile areas of investment and add on the voice for sustainable fisheries. After Jinja all roads lead to Entebbe at the Zoo for the 3rd edition of the Entebbe Fish Festival on 15th December at UWEC/Zoo on the longest beach in Uganda.
The Fish festival seeks to add on to the voice of sustainable living, we say no to Kaveera and plastics at the festival!
