Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute students excel at cooking competition in India, scoop 3rd position 

Two students from Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute came third at Student’s Chef Competition in Kolkata India.
Felix Lukakamwa and Justine Kebirungi represented Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute in particular and Uganda in general at the competition.
They came third among the 13 countries that participated in the competition.
On Tuesday, the Institute hosted a luncheon for the two at their campus in Kabalagala to celebrate their excellent performance.
Oweek. David Kyewalabye Male, the Institute director said Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute is aimed at producing such wonderful products to the world out there.
He appreciated them for making the Institute proud as well as the country.
“Achieve and you will not be forgotten,” he told the students.
He told them never to give up in anything they are doing adding that tough times do not last but tough people do.
He said as Jimmy Sekasi, they believe in practical education and that the institution is planning inhouse and regional competition to make them prepare well for such international competitions.
The students lauded the Institute for giving them such a chance that exposed them to the world of opportunities.

“We are now known world over because of Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute, we appreciate the management and we promise to carry the Institute’s flag all the time. We are competited with well prepared and financed rich students but we managed to beat most of them. It was a great exposure for us,” Justine and Felix said.

Jimmy Sekasi is known for producing some of the best chefs around. Most of them by the time they finish school, they be already having jobs among top hotels around.

The Principal of Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute Mr. Smax Kakungulu was also full of praise for the students. He called on parents to bring their children to get practical skills at the institute

Mr. Male called on them to touch other people’s lives especially the needy.
“If we do good things, people will see value in us,” he added. He also advised other students to emulate the two and perform even better.
Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute is now under Gombe Education Service.
Gombe Education Service boasts of Scooby Doo International, Gombe Junior Day and Boarding Primary School,
St  Andrew Kaggwa Gombe High School-Kawaala & Bujuuko and Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute.
