Goldstone Consulting Announces Launch of Second Edition of Investment Readiness Program for Small and Growing Businesses
Kampala, Uganda – Goldstone Consulting, a multi-sectoral enterprise consulting and training firm, has announced the launch of its flagship Investment Readiness Program. The second edition of the program is designed to help Small and Growing businesses (SGBs) become more articulate about their financial needs when engaging financiers. The program is set to take place from May 3rd to May 5th, 2023, at Eight Winx Hotel Ntinda.
The Investment Readiness Program is a three-month program aimed at helping SMEs strengthen their foundational systems, align them to the post-COVID-19 economy, and build a pipeline of investable businesses. The curriculum covers key aspects such as identifying the right investor, different sources of capital, and types of funding. The program will use a hybrid methodology of physical and virtual sessions anchored to Goldstone’s bespoke Investment Readiness curriculum.
The participating businesses were selected through a competitive process based on vintage, investment need, business sector, and location. The selected businesses are from Agribusiness, Renewable Energy, Education, and Water, Sanitation, and Health (WASH) sectors. The successful investees will constitute a pipeline of investable businesses for onboarding onto investor houses/programs such as the USAID – Strategic Investment Activity (SIA), ACELI Africa, and Pearl Capital Partners, among others.
“We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the second edition of our Investment Readiness Program,” said Daniel Bukenya Yiga, Managing Director of Goldstone Enterprise Consulting and Training Limited. “We are committed to supporting SGBs in becoming bankable and investable, and to build a sustainable future for Uganda’s economy.”
