The cause of the general’s death is still being investigated. The longest serving army commander left behind two children and a widow. President Kaguta Museveni paid a visit to the deceased’s family at Buziga on Monday and described his death as a big loss to the nation. He has made his contribution. It was an untimely death at 56 years. “Aronda survived AIDS and him with few others helped us start afresh and rebuilt the army and the nation. He died on plane coming from South Korea. We are busy finding cause of problem, but that will not bring him back. When we came from the bush, many died of AIDS, Aronda was disciplined, and he survived. My immediate thinking was… maybe it was an accident. I didn’t know he had any medical problem,”M7 said.
