Eswatini & Buganda Kingdoms in partnership to enhance culture values

The Buganda Kingdom and Eswatini Kingdom have pledged to strengthen their relationship to enhance the norms and values among the people of the two kingdoms.

This was revealed during the courtesy visit of the Prime Minister of Eswatini Russell Mmiso Dlamini to Buganda Premier Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga at Bulange Mengo.

The prime minister of Eswatini was welcomed by Premier of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga and had a memorable group photo moment before he was ushered into the cabinet room.

The prime minister of Eswatini was accompanied by the delegation from Eswatin Kingdom, King Eswatini consular to Uganda His Excellency Ambassador Quillino Bamwine, State Minister for Kampala Hon. Kyofatogabye among others.

During his speech, Buganda Premier Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga took his visitors through the history of kingdom and the Key Aspirations that include protection and preservation of the cultural Heritage of Buganda, sharing power through a federal system of government, protection of kingdom lands, production and service delivery and promotion of unity.

He also enlightened his visitors about the different investment opportunities within the kingdom which investments according to him have helped Buganda Kingdom to fulfill some of her aspirations.

Mayiga also extended Kabaka’s message to the prime minister of Eswatini and appreciated the relationship between the two kingdoms.

During his speech, Russell Mmiso Dlamini the Prime Minister of Eswatini Kingdom pledged a good partnership with Buganda Kingdom. He also emphasised the importance of working for peace and development of any country .

King’s consular to Uganda Ambassador Quillion Bamwiine together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation from Eswatini Kingdom HE Sen Pholile Shakantu later thanked the Premier of Buganda Kingdom for Hosting them in high spirits.

The Eswatini delegation was then led to the tour of important and historical places in Buganda Kingdom including Buganda Lukiiko (Kingdom Parliament) and the kingdoms broadcasting services including CBS Radios and BBS Television.

After Bulange, Eswatini Prime Minister Russell visited the oil refinery at Kawuki Bugiri Bukasa in Busiro County which is owned by Captain Mike Mukula.

According to the Kingdom’s consular to Uganda Ambassador Bamwiine Quillino; the prime minister of Eswatini visit will yield fruits between Uganda and Eswatini Kingdom especially in areas of development which will benefit the people of the two countries.
