Engineers Gear Up For National Technology Conference and Exhibition
Engineers all over the country are up in anticipatory arms for the National Technology Conference Set to happen this Thursday; 17th to 18th August 2023 at Hotel Africa.
Engineers from prominent organizations and government agencies across the country have already confirmed their participation. UIPE has already announced that the Master Of Ceremony will be renowned Television presenter and NBS TV News anchor, Samson Kasumba.
This prestigious event will bring together over 500 engineers, stakeholders, students, and the public under the theme “Tapping Engineering opportunities for accelerated African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) implementation.”
The 26th edition of NTCE aims to create a platform where key stakeholders within the engineering fraternity can exchange knowledge, explore innovative ideas, share experiences, present research findings, and discuss cutting-edge technologies and approaches. The conference will feature thought-provoking discussions on leveraging engineering expertise to enhance Uganda’s value proposition within the AfCFTA trade ecosystem, particularly by ensuring the availability of strategic engineering goods and services.
The distinguished Guest of Honour for the 26th NTCE will be the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Honourable Thomas Tayebwa, highlighting the significance of this event in the national discourse.
UIPE; a leading independent organization for the engineering profession in Uganda that brings together all engineers, technologists, technicians and students of engineering has been holding the event for 25 years now. Established in 1972 as a successor to the defunct East African Association of Engineers following the collapse of the East African Community, the UIPE cooperates with national, regional, continental and global institutions in developing and applying engineering to the benefit of society.
