

‘Education is the best weapon you can give to your children’ – Hon. Kamuntu
The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Hon. Ephraim Kamuntu who also doubles the MP for Sheema South constituency (Sheema District) has advised parents to give their children education because it is the best medicine.
The minister made remarks today during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the house for Archdeacon of St Paul’s Church of Uganda Kitagata Archdeaconry in Sheema district.
He also advised people to stop politics of hate because it doesn’t lead to any development.
He contributed 100 bags of cement towards the house construction and said for development to take place, there must be status quo.
“This is a very right decision to build the house for the Archdeaconry,” Kamuntu added.
“You must educate your children because it’s the best medicine you can give to them,” he said.

He said sustainability of peace and stability brought by the NRM government has led to development in the country.
The minister said 68% of Ugandans are still doing subsistence farming and that as leaders, they must cause change to this percentage.
The house for the Archdeaconry to be completed fully, needs UGX 400m.
The construction committee has been set up to oversee the construction.
The committee members are; Eng. Yorokamu Katwiremu (Chairman), VC/Man Professor Elijah Mushemeza, and the Chief Mobiliser Johnson Musinguzi. Others are; Dr. Nicholas Mwebesa, Dennis Mubangizi (Treasurer), George Tumusime, Canon Charles Aine, Canon Apollo Buzaare and Ben Bwooba.
