However in fulfilling this undertaking, we continue to ride on the fact that we have become a one-stop shop for all your banking needs, from doing accessing your money anywhere in the world to paying all your major utility bills. The past year, 2014 has particularly been punctuated by success and milestones within the business, and this could not have been attained without your support. Additionally, we launched a partnership with aBI Finance, a Road Construction Bank Guarantee Scheme, funded by UK aid and the European Union, aimed at improving access to finance for contractors and consultants in the road sector. These achievements indeed call for celebration. We could not, however, attained this feat without your immense support. Please give yourselves a befitting round of applause. January 2015 also saw the bank upgrading its core banking software to Temenos 24, a very reputable and risk-mitigating software in the banking sector. It is with great pleasure that I announce that the process of migration was almost seamless and we appreciate your patience as we partook in this activity, which has already exhibited great reviews within the bank.

In the same breath, I would also like to commend our highly-experienced employees that earn the right every day to be our customers’ first choice by delivering trusted advice through service to help our clients achieve their financial goals. 20 years ago, an idea was planted, watered, nurtured, by our Promoters Dr. Sudhir and Mrs. Jyotsna Ruparelia. The idea of creating a bank that would serve people from all walks of life in Uganda was conceived and born Crane Bank. At 20 years, there’s a plethora of reasons as to why all of us present here this evening should commend the conception of this idea that brings us altogether today.

As we carry on the right direction, we stay committed to introducing more innovative products and services and, stay on track to achieving a total full branch count of 50 strategically located around Uganda.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I wish to appreciate my directors on the Board of this great Bank and the Promoters for their selfless service and immense contributions to the growth of the Bank. I specially commend Mr. Joseph Biribonwa, the captain of this great ship, for sustaining our rich tradition of exceptional achievements. I especially salute our Vice-Chairman, Dr. Sudhir for his vision, initiatives and unstinted guidance towards the expansion of our Bank. Sir, we continue to count on your wise counsel drawn from years of inestimable experience.
