CMC Motors launches Eicher Trucks and Buses in Uganda

The Cooper Motor Corporation Uganda Limited (CMC) launched Eicher Trucks & Buses in Uganda today at a launch event held at its Nakawa premises. Eicher trucks and buses from VE Commercial Vehicles are designed to improve transport efficiency, thereby reducing logistics costs leading to better profitability for the operator.

VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, and is headquartered at New Delhi, India. In operation since July 2008, the company manufactures the complete range of Eicher branded trucks and buses. (VECV) owes its inception to the compelling intent of driving modernization in commercial transportation, in India and other developing markets including the East African region.

CMC unveiled the Eicher 10.75, light duty truck with 5 ton payload truck with the highly fuel efficient Eicher E483 engine that comes with low maintenance at the launch today. Specially designed for the value segment with high rated payload, Eicher 10.75 comes with the 2 m wide aerodynamic cabin with ergonomic features, enhanced safety and aesthetics, delivers better driving comfort and convenience to its users. The product is designed to meet the customer needs of most market segments across the region.

The Eicher heavy duty truck and tipper range was also launched at the event. Eicher Terra 25(6×4,14 CubicMeter)Tipper, Eicher Terra 16XP(4×2,10 CubicMeter) tipperandEicher 20.16 (4×2)rigid truck are part of Eicher VE series. The VE series promises the Eicher advantage of better fuel efficiency along with high reliability and durability and is packed with features.
