Clarification on allegations of misappropriation of funds by Operation Wealth Creation

Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) has clarified on allegations that it has misappropriated funds. OWC Public Relations Officer, Maj. Kiconco Tabaro said the allegations are false and aimed at tarnishing the good of the organisation.

“Our attention has been drawn to information circulating on social media, purporting to failure to account for money to the tune of Shs 932m for seedlings by OWC. He said OWC does not handle money for procurement of seedlings or any other agricultural inputs and as such does not have a budgetary vote or an accounting officer as would be required in such circumstances where handling and expenditure of public money is concerned,” Tabaro said.
