Busoga Tourism Minister Hellen Olga Namutamba launches the Purple Party event in Jinja

The Minister of Busoga Tourism & Heritage, Owek Hellen Namutamba was invited as a guest speaker to the launch Purple Party of Douglas Lwanga of NBS TV. The event took place at PitStop Sports Lounge, Jinja.

Hon Hellen expressed her gratitude to the Next Media Group for their continued support of Busoga Tourism activities, especially the Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge, and for promoting local talents in Busoga.

She emphasized how the Purple Party event is bringing economic benefits to Busoga, with hotels being booked and increased demand for boda boda riders and taxi drivers on event day.

In her closing remarks, she invited everyone to join the Busoga’s biggest cultural event (Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge) on 17/08/2024 with the Kyabazinga of Busoga who will be the chief climber.

We are delighted to inform you that the guest speaker for this event will be the 1st DPM | Minister for East African Affairs, Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.

Additionally, the Chairperson of the Busoga Talents and Musicians Network, Mr. Muzaale Geoffrey aka Geo Bless, assured the Basoga artists, MCs, and comedians that they will be performing at the event. This is a fantastic opportunity for our local talent to shine! She excitedly remarked.
