Busoga Tourism Minister Hellen Olga Namutamba announces weekend visit to Bukono & Bunha Chiefdoms

This Thursday, Hon. Hellen Olga Namutamba, the Minister of Busoga Tourism & Heritage, held a press conference at the Kingdom Headquarters to announce this weekend’s special visit to Bukono and Bunha chiefdoms on Saturday and Sunday under the Busoga Tourism Trial Experience campaign which is intended to unveil new tourism sites in the kingdom.

In her speech, Owek Hellen expressed her appreciation to everyone who turned out in big numbers at Busiki, Namutumba district last weekend. “People have started to visit the Nakyaka and Namagero sites which we recently unveiled,” she informed.

This weekend will be packed with many activities, including Women Bicycle Cycling competitions, the Busoga Tourism Football Tournament finals, among others.

The following tourism sites will be unveiled during the Busoga Tourism Trial Experience and the chief guest will the first deputy prime minister and minister for East African Affairs Rt. Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga to unveil Kikalu Rock Site and Namakoko Landing Site in Bukono chiefdom, Fort Luba Thurston Historical Site and Mawuta Hill, the origin of the Baise Munha clan of Chief Luba in Bunha chiefdom.

Owek Hellen was accompanied by Chief Mutyaba Godfrey of Bukono, Chief Luba Geoffrey Mukajanga of Bunha who encouraged the community members to come in big numbers. Among other members who were present was the Chairperson of Busoga Talents and Musicians Network Geoffrey Muzale aka Geo Bless, who announced that chiefdom artists and other performers such as Captain Jinja, Smart Dee, Tinah Baibe, etc will entertain the revelers.
