Bebe Cool Launches Charity Organization- Amber Heart Foundation
After holding the most successful concert of the year-The Golden Heart, Bebe Cool fulfills his pledge to facilitate the travel of the five children with complicated heart problems to India for operations.
Bebe Cool through his newly registered charity organization- The Amber Heart Foundation has donated Ugx 60,000,000 shs (Sixty million Shillings) to Action for Disadvantaged People (ACDPE) to facilitate the travel of the five children to Narayana Health Hospital in Bengarore – India for Heart Operation.
Emmie Ogwang, Bbosa Rashid, Maseruka Jovan, Namuyomba Shilat, Mukyadondwa Anthony, along with their care takers will be leaving the country on Sunday 2nd September 2018 for what seems like a first step towards hope for a healthy life.
On why he decided to start a charity organization, Bebe Cool said; “I have over the years been carrying out several charity activities as part of my social responsibility to my country. I have however felt the need to consolidate all these activities under one umbrella hence the birth of ‘The Amber Heart Foundation. My conviction is that before I question what my government has done for me, I ask myself what contribution I have made to improve the lives of those around me and my country”
“Through this Foundation, I want to use my position as an established artist to elevate the unprivileged young people in Uganda by attracting specialized, professional and financial resources from within the country and internationally towards their plight.”
Bebe Cool also confirmed that his next concert slated for 26th December 2018 at Kiwatule Recreational Center will be organised under the same charity cause under the theme ‘Tondeka Ekiwatule Omutima Gwa Zaabu’ to facilitate another five children to be able to go to India for heart related operation.
Bebe Cool made a humble plea to individuals, corporate and non profit organisations to join this initiative by channeling their contribution through The Amber Heart Foundation.
