All is set for 5th Eastern Mega Fellowship (EMF) Rotary event
The Rotary club of Tororo and the Rotary club of Tororo Sam Owori are affiliated bodies of Rotary International which is a non-Government and non-profit making Organization working with Communities, Government, Corporate Entities and other Rotary clubs to change lives of less privileged people in line with Rotary’s seven areas of focus that include; Disease prevention, Peace and conflict resolution, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and Literacy, Environmental protection and Economic and community development.
The Rotary club of Tororo and the Rotary club of Tororo Sam Owori in collaboration with all Rotary clubs in Eastern Uganda are organizing the 5th Eastern Mega Fellowship under a theme: ‘’Creating hope among the Sickler population’’.
The Objective is to raise funds for the purchase of the Hemoglobin Electrophoresis sickle cell machine.
It is aimed at Creating awareness, providing medicine as well as screening and supporting people with the Sickle Cell disease being one of the major public health issue with in the Tororo communities.
The 5th Eastern Mega Fellowship will take place from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th January 2024 at Rock Classic Hotel, Tororo.
It is anticipated that around 500 participants (Rotarians, Rotaractors and Guests), business community, Development Partners, Corporate entities, Private companies, Government bodies among others are to take part in this annual event.
This year’s collection proceeds and donations will go towards supporting Sickle Cell patients in Tororo
District.
