Latest info reaching our desk has it that Hon. Abbey Kigozi, the LC 5 councillor, Wakiso District is set to upgrade his political status.
After representing the people of Kyengera Town Council in the wards of Nanziga, Maya and Katereke as a direct councillor, Hon. Abbey has now set his plans on taking Mpigi District top seat.
“I am going to stand as the LC 5 Chairman for Mpigi District come 2026,” he confirmed to us.
Kigozi, 45, is a teacher by profession and he is currently a member of the HESS (Health, Education, Sports and Sanitation) committee of the district.
He subscribes to the National Unity Platform (NUP) party.
