Abahumuza Development Group joined by Ministry of Water & Environment in Save River Rwizi Marathon
Preparations for forthcoming Save River Rwizi Marathon 2022 are going on well as the Ministry of Water and Environment join in.
The Ministry has partnered with Abahumuza Development Group in spearheading a campaign to create awareness about the growing degradation of River Rwizi, the main water source for communities in Mbarara and the neighbouring areas.
Ramadhan Kimbugwe, the chairman of the Save Rwizi 2022 marathon says the different human activities along the river catchment areas, calls for an immediate environmental conservation plan.
This is has forced the two parties to join hands and save the situation before it his out of hand.
Several corporate companies are expected to join the cause for the 30th July Marathon.
